Visited here as part of Ilkley Literature Festival. The hall's pleasant, with a bas-relief of Edward VII above the stage, if you like that sort of thing. The adjacent Winter Gardens are not a garden, but a very elegant indoor hall with a balcony and a decorative glass roof.nOne word of warning about Ilkley in general, and that's the parking. Several years ago, the council painted parking spaces anywhere a car could stop, and sprayed the place with pay and display machines, so that you have to guess how long you'll be there before you start. We've cut down visiting Ilkley shops or restaurants for this reason, and you might like to consider this before visiting the town as a tourist destination.
Went to see the awesome Count Arthur Strong farewell tour part one. He was on cracking form! Four of us went to see him and the cost of a box was basically the same so we decided to treat ourselves. It's a very well run theatre, helpful staff and if you get a box you get a commanding view of the stage!
A beautiful little Venu located directly opposite from Ilkley station. They host a variety of shows. Toilets are small but the ques go down quickly and next door is the winter gardens pub where some of the acts go after their show so there is a good chance to come and say hello.
Friendly theatre. Friendly staff. Decent chairs offering more comfort and leg room than other theatres with fixed seating.nVery pleasant experience
A beautiful venue, a lovely bar upstairs and good seating. We saw the Manfred's and enjoyed the evening.
