We had a pleasant experience served by Bernadette with Gary's input. Really friendly, helpful and unhurried. We ordered a beautiful bed. We took quite a while to voice our concerns that we couldn't take the head board as it was too high for the low ceiling and we had a conversation about maybe keeping the very old highly polished walnut  headboard from our old bed, which we love, as they didn't have an alternative suitable. At this point we weren't entirely sure that it would be possible though. 
5/5 at this point.
Well we spent days discussing ways to do it and decided that we couldn't guarantee it working out. This morning we poured over Bensons website for an alternative and found nothing to suit us, tho their stuff is really good. We also went to another Bensons in case we saw something in there, not in the Congleton store.  When we explained our problem we were told very curtly that if we cancelled or changed our minds, Bensons would keep 20% of the price ie £350. We were then v. upset as  neither of us could remember being told that, tho we remember the 40 day trial rule of10%. Also the curt way of telling us made us angry. We thought that under the circumstances, the 20% rule would have been stressed. We were very shocked, as someone told us that it's not legally binding. It is. We both spoke to someone at Congleton by phone who said that even if we bought the mattress and cancelled the bed we would still have to pay the 20%.  therefore the rating is a 3 since my husband makes the point that knowing our problem re the headboard they should have made a bigger issue of the 20% rule.  However It's Bensons policy that  stinks really.

Excellent store easy to find park right by the door ,staff polite and helpful but not pushy  ,very impressed  . Plenty of choice  enjoyable experience nice change ,thank you.

Really helpful staff. Just bought our 2nd mattress from them and both times a member of staff spent a good 30 mins helping us find one that suited our needs best. Couldn't ask for more! Thank you
