Okay, but not transcendental, food. Some dishes well executed, but quality can be variable. Side dishes and breads are weakest offerings, meat can be overdone. Spice profile was generally ho-hum, but ingredients are usually high-quality. Have been several times -- what we thought was an off night for the kitchen may be now par for the course, unfortunately. Excellent service and very knowledgeable wait staff. Good wine list.

Amazing food and amazing ambience! I thought it is a bit expensive, but then again, the location and the services are of a high standard so I guess that is quite expected. Can't go there frequently for these same reasons, but if you want to have a nice time gulping down fantastic food and drinks at a classy restaurant, then Benares is worth a shot!

Great food though some of the vegetarian side dishes were lacking. Paneer three ways and chicken were delicious. Pleasant atmosphere and a friendly service.

Great Place , great atmosphere , superb food. Only one thing missing , the place feels too closed , it almost made me feel claustrophobic.
