A nice and elegant spot for breakfast. I wasn't a fan of the croissant, but the avocado smash was excellent. The Eggs Benedict normally comes with ham, so I opted for poached eggs with hollandaise sauce on the side.
This restaurant exudes elegance and sophistication, with its beautifully arched ceilings and opulent interior design. The ambiance is both warm and refined, making it an ideal setting for a memorable dining experience. The attention to detail in both the decor and the service is evident, creating an atmosphere that is both inviting and luxurious. Whether you're enjoying a meal or simply soaking in the surroundings, this restaurant offers a perfect blend of comfort and class.
We wanted to try the afternoon tea once in London in a fancy setting without making a hole in our pocket so tried the Wolseley. Much to our surprise they let us share it, so at $50 for 2 ppl it felt like a deal. While the restaurant decor itself is stunning, the food was a mixed bag. We ordered the Vegetarian Afternoon Tea and loved the sandwiches. The tea and scones were also decent but the pastries were just average. Overall a good experience for the price.
Amazing food and surprised by large portions!nMade sure allergies were considered and brought boyfriend some actually very tasty gluten free bread!nHe had the Bubble & Squeak with mushrooms and a duck egg in this gorgeous gluten free gravy.nI had the Cauliflower and Chickpea Makhani & rice - beautifully served in its own copper pan and portion was two good sized bowls of it. Delicious and just spicy enough.nMy bread was utterly delicious too.nVery happy with it all and did not think it too pricey at all for such an impressive building and attentive staff.
Very classically nice looking place, great for breakfast and I think I did well by booking in advance. Great egg royal the one with salmon and nice teas. I'd discourage anyone from taking ice tea, the size of that is tiny and the taste was also not most interesting. Tried in the past some other breakfast items but egg royal seems best and I'll stick with it. Always taking larger but it is a bit of food so if you have lunch plans take maybe the smaller.nnGreat for a bit of a nicer breakfast.
