Wouldn't even be a one star lately, never any appointments but some how receptionists find appointments for their friends and family and yes I've seen this when they've turned people even kids away but managed to fit someone they know in straight after. 6 weeks I've been trying to an appointment for a chest and throat infection but didn't have a choice to fight it myself then when you do get an appointment waiting 2 weeks it gets cancelled when you ring for further appointments and pain relief they don't have anything until 17th what a joke this place as become. I'm hoping to change soon
Receptionists are unpleasant to put it mildly, often unprofessional. I legitimately avoid calling for an appointment unless I absolutely have to. The interrogation is next level and not to mention the unwarranted advice. Are they now part doctor, part receptionist? Please, for the sake of treating people with respect, train them in customer care.
Absolutely brilliant doctor's surgery. The staff are all really helpful and polite, never have to wait long to get an appointment and the doctors are a credit to the NHS. Thank you for all of your hard work and helping me get on the path to recovery.
Extremely competent and caring practice with patient care centred around all appointments. My recent experience saw me seen by a salaried GP on time, very comforting and reassuring. I appreciate how busy the surgery is, reception bombarded with calls, queues and often arrogance. Its great to see the team with a smile. Keep up the amazing work.
My wife and I were transferred to this health center, every reception served us very well except for Dr. Alison Roberts who attended to us in a rude and ironic way, we came without being able to report the health problems because she simply said that time was up and bye! Totally different treatment already received by the NHS, unfortunately! We left looking at each other and saying what?? sad start to the week
Never really had an issue with this surgery but had excellent service this week, had a small infection which was causing me some discomfort but I work in health care my self and have a little knowledge about these things and knew just needed some antibiotics to clear it up, logged a query on the NHS app for the first time @ 9pm on Thursday night, got a call back on the Friday @ 9.30am from Teresa on reception who referred it to the doctor and then got a text to say prescription would be sent to the pharmacy, picked it up @ 5pm, Thank you To Dr Newall and Teresa for sorting me out so quickly and efficiently, on the mend now. If you don’t need an urgent appointment I would highly recommend logging a query on the NHS app, I was sorted in less than 24 hours and didn’t even have to go to surgery which was great for me as had extremely busy shift at work that day, thanks again
The worst surgery ever! The staff are so rude and they don't care about you at all. All the receptionists think they are doctors and they decided if you need to see a GP or not because of them I ended up in the hospital! And I was so close to dying. I'm going to take legal aid action towards them. Don't Go here at all.
If you call at the busy times in the morning, the automated line will tell you, "You are number X in the call queue". It eventually counts down to "number 1", where you will then get a 45 second recorded message about when/why you should call, and THEN it will ring again and again. You will constantly be reminded by the recorded voice that you "are on hold" - spoiler: You're not. They're just not answering. I'm sure they're very busy, and they've got a lot to do. But even if you call at 4-5pm, it's still a solid 15 minutes before someone picks up the phone, for you then to be told the only available appointment is in 3 weeks. If you're sat in the waiting area you can hear the phone ringing over and over again, with the numerous reception staff seemingly ignoring it. Having said that, when you do eventually get an appointment, it's pretty hit and miss whether you get a doctor that is helpful and respectful, or rude and dismissive. Can no longer request repeat prescriptions over the phone, has to be done via email apparently. Except they also refused via email, so now I have a 3 week wait for an appointment to request a repeat prescription. What a waste of an appointment.
It's the worst GP practice I've ever seen. There's no Dr . Always receptions give you false information. For last 2 weeks I'm trying to see a Dr I go 8 am and stand in long queue to be told no Dr they're all sick and you can go to hospital if you need Dr.
Phone lines are always busy on morning which is to be expected so after trying to get through went over instead at 10am to see if I could get appointment for that day. While in queue there was a man being verbally aggressive with receptionists about not getting his meds for over 10mins and wouldn't leave until they explained repeatedly that he wasn't getting then due to him using several different names at several different surgeries . Then a chap was trying to get an appointment because he had a cold‍ omg not to mention the time waster on the phone trying to retrieve someone else's test results which they aren't allowed to give. Why do people abuse these services its really annoying for the genuinely sick people and this is why you can't get through on the phone because of time wasters. Receptionists need a medal in my eyes for working here, I've never had any problems with them and always had great service from doctors/nurses etc. Also I did get appointment for that day. I think they all do a fantastic job especially with everything they have to deal with on a daily basis.
