We've to eat at this particular Beefeater quite a few times. Sometimes we've had great meals and other time they've been just 'nice'. This time for me, I had a bacon and cheese double stacked burger (no single version available) Not the best burger I've had and I'd rather had the choice between a single or double. I've had Steaks before that have been superb. No sweet this time, just a side order of Onion Rings which were great. They do seem to have started doing free refills on Pepsi and I'm sure some other soft drinks. Unlike the Harvester where you can refill yourself, we had to wait for quite a while to catch the attention of a server to get the refills. Our food also took longer than expected. Still there were other places we could have gone but we chose to go back to what I consider a good hearty place to eat.

While the food is reasonable, it's certainly not worth the hour long wait we had to get it - including the half hour waiting for service after being seated. We gave up waiting after our main. Looking around the mostly empty restaurant floor for staff to actually pay for the meal we spotted one guy working, and not much else. One girl was seemingly having a break in front of everyone - nonchalantly sitting down having a drink and fiddling with her phone - while another stood around doing nothing in particular. After around 30 minutes after finishing our main we ended up seeking someone out just so that we could get away. The cleanliness isn't exactly to high standards. The toilets aren't exactly sparkling clean, and the floor in the restaurant and the hallway towards the bar left my son's shoes scuffed black with scuzz. Admittedly, we've had a better experience previously, but we all know that you judge a place by the worst one.

Great staff,great atmosphere,and the food was excellent. Keep it up guys your a credit to beefeater.

Watching the chef on duty 1 tutching his face frequently then not washing his hands. This chef has a full beard 2 constantly picking at food eatting then not washing his hands. 3 red onion in my burger not prepared properly, he had sliced the onion and left out side skin on . I could go on with other bad practices that I had to whiteness wail waitting for are food.
