I booked a table for 6 of us to go out for lunch to celebrate my mother in law's birthday. The food was nice and the decor was good, but the front of house staff left a lot to be desired. When we arrived it took a while before anyone came over to speak to us. Eventually a sullen red-headed young man came over and we said we had a booking. He did not say hello, he did not greet us in any way, he walked off to check the booking, but he did not take a name to check with, he didn't even say "bear with me one moment while I go and check". He then came back, collected menus and walked off, again no communication, no "if you'd like to follow me please", nothing. He placed the menus on the table and walked off before we'd even sat down. Considering there were only 2 other tables taken in the whole place you would have thought a bit more care would've been given to the few customers they had. The starters were nice and we didn't have to wait too long between courses, they did miss one of the coffees we asked for, but that's not a big thing. However, when we had finished and wanted to pay the blonde waitress and red-headed waiter seemed more interested in flirting with each other and messing around balancing a tray on their heads than looking after the few paying customers in the restaurant. If this is the typical service level provided I can see why this place was so quiet. Can't say I'll be rushing back anytime soon! Sort out your front of house staff please.
Powerful! Been to this little delight a couple of times for a few drinks and i have been amazed. the drinks are awesome!! strong and delicious. the atmosphere is very interesting and the design alone makes you look round the whole room twice. will defiantly be going back again soon.
We went here as a party of 12 on Saturday 6th January for my partner's birthday and it was AMAZING!! This was my 2nd time here and it's quickly become my favourite "go to" restaurant. The food is fantastic, service is impeccable and the atmosphere is fun and friendly. They also just happen to make the best cocktails and the owners do a fabulous job of creating a family vibe - we even enjoyed a sing song and a dance after dinner. Highly recommended!!
Lovely looking place, we went here recently for a celebratory meal. The service without exaggeration was shocking. Firstly, after a long wait, they served warm cider and beers, as in never been in a fridge or cooler, which we rightfully returned, they also lost the food order which we prebooked, so we reordered this without making a fuss. We was then told we couldn't order more drinks, because they are too busy with other customers?! They then say we need to order food again as they lost the order, again, then followed by they haven't even got the food we pre-booked with them available, resulting in us having to get food and drinks elsewhere. It was beyond anything I've ever experienced, I feel so sorry for the person who arranged it for their partners birthday. Surely this is not a typical night at Hoxon, is it?!
First time at this restaurant with a group of friends. Great setting, friendly staff and amazing cocktails. However, no consideration given to vegetarians on the menu. Only 1 vegetarian main which is made with Parmesan. Any restaurant that researches it’s ingredients will know Parmesan is not vegetarian due to the use of animal products in it. With more and more restaurants offering a separate vegan/vegetarian menu Hoxon needs to up it’s game
Not good, went for a friends birthday, to be fair there was alot of us, but the service particularly from the drinks was slow. I'm a vegetarian, there was only ONE vegetarian dish, which wasn't even highlighted with the "V" on the menu. When it's arrived it was small, cold and bland... Mushroom risotto should have been easy to get right. Not at all impressed.
Words can not describe the lack of hospitality in this establishment. - Phone call prior to attending said that children were allowed however should my 3 month old baby cry I would need to leave or move in order not to disturb other diners, as if I would willingly let my child scream inconsolably. - On arrival we had no service, we had to create our own drinks order and take over to the bar which was then served ages later and the beer was warm. - Pre-ordered food needed to be ordered again as the manager was unable to remove 1 fillet steak from the pre-order. She rudely huffed at the party and retook the orders. - 1 hour later no one had come over to top up our drinks so some of the group went to the bar to order another round where the manager told us to sit down as there were other customers that needed drinks and they were too busy to serve us. The manager proceeded to be extremely rude to our party of 15 that we paid up our bill for the drinks and left. Loss of good business due to arrogance of the manager and lack of planning/staff for a large party and Saturday night. Safe to say I will not be going back again!
Well what can i say! A girlie Christmas Meal. Turned into a night of Drama. Was spoken to rudely, by the owner, because we asked for the music to be turned down, because we literally could not hear eachother speaking across the table. The music was loud and banging. Her answer was. No-one else is complaining, its a wine bar and its friday night. Whats your problem? Erm sorry but its a restaurant, and all we asked was to please turn the music down or change the music. I have never been spoken to so rudely by an owner of a restaurant. Rude is not the word. The food was bland, the cocktails were watered down. I would never recommend this place. Or set foot in the door ever again .

Most under rated restaurant in Camberley, top class ambience, amazing set up, great food, best cocktail. A definite visit for a relaxing evening!
