A wee stop off at the end of our wee West Highland Way walk, before we headed back to Carbeth. Lovely day. Lovely setting. My 8 year old was fair taken with the animals, the play area and the old mini-tractors. Kid-friendliness: Excellent zoo, playback and mini-tractors.
Absolutely amazing place! Arrived in late October and bought a meat pie and a beer. Nice food and reasonable prices. I felt like the waitress would give me the world if I asked. VERY friendly and helpful about my journey!
A perfect place on the West Highland Way to stop for a meal and a drink. They also have a small shop with basics. Outside the restaurant you can relax at a table and you can get fresh water. WiFi only in the restaurant.
A handy place to stop along the west highland way, the food can be ordered & paid for online. PayPal is acceptable. The website isn't as smooth or convenient on a phone as it could be, it seems more geared toward a PC, but it works relatively well. There is a small petting zoo and a convenient tap.
What a find! Huge parking area for our motor home, quirky signage showing animals for viewing, play area outside the restaurant, order groceries for collection, feed the animals, GREAT choice of food on the menu! Covered area outside for eating while the kids play, raise money for charity by purchasing food to feed the animals. Eggs on the menu from their own animals. Shop with essentials and cakes, xx ale away hot drinks too, LOVED THIS STOP!!!
Welcome surprise stop off point. Used the picnic benches to eat our own lunch but did pop in to get a welcome cup of coffee. From a quick look around seemed to be very well stocked shop and very friendly service. Highly recommended.
Great place. Our kids enjoyed an animal experience at Beech Tree Inn. It was amazing. Friendly and very knowledgabe staff members introduced them to animals and gave them loads of information. They enjoyed handling the animals. Take away food was delicious. We will be back when it is fully open!
Only able to serve food outside because of Coronavirus restrictions but still well worth a visit and does have protection from the rain. Menu is streamlined but still very tasty. The Beech Tree burger is a delicious feast with two meaty burgers, mushrooms and relish - worth the messiness. Kids portions available. Good beer selection. Stunning location, right on the West Highland Way. Picnic area available for hikers with their own food. Brilliant play equipment for kids and lots of birds, goats, rabbits, ponies and other animals too.
Great food and affordable diversified menu. The chicken and Haggis was delightful with veggies cooked perfectly. Staff is friendly and efficient. Outdoor kids play makes it an ideal family break by good weather. And if you book 6h in advance kids eat for free! Parking is ample and easy access. Nice animal/bird experience goats... Do recommend!
Beautiful place, is a bit expensive but great out door bit for the kids and lots of seating for us adults, only been in cold weather and it wasn't to busy. Food was nice, chips were lovely. Will definitely go again maybe just for a tea n kids to play outside xx
