Took my mother who has dementia and alzheimer's here on her 77th Birthday with a party of 6. Staff couldnt have been anymore welcoming and accomadating. Even the Manager brought our cake out with her 77 candles lit and sang to her. Just made a special memory even more memorable. Thankyou 2 all staff at Drumchapel Leven valley over and above. The carvery that all 6 of us had was fab, absolutely delicious! Dietary restrictions: We didn't have any, but were asked on arrival if we had any dietary restrictions. Parking: Plenty of parking also disabled bays. Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level all flat with easy access to disabled toilet.
My personal favourite restaurant. I have been going to this place ever since I was a kid and I have to say that I am genuinely shocked by how consistent its been in terms of quality. Not only is the food amazing, with one of the best roast dinners you will ever experience, but the atmosphere is unmatched for me. Its quiet, cozy and has a family friendly feel to it. Also for what they offer the price is more than reasonable. There is more value for money here than any carvery I have ever been to. Whether you're here for the carvery or just a quiet drink you are guaranteed a relaxing time. I've been myself many times and have also been there with family on several occasions. We even celebrated our anniversary here more than once. I really hope they never change and never shut down. God Bless.
Friends took us here and we had a great time. We got the carvery special which means we got to choose three things of meat: ham, beef, turkey. I went for the trifecta and it was all good BUT the turkey was super dry. Not anyone’s fault but it was under heat a while and I got the last piece before they swapped it out. Other than that the veggies and the gravy was on point. I liked how it fit the huge group we had with no issues. We did guys on one side and girls on another table. My wife and I ordered just on own phone and the server was a bit irritated she had to drop off the drinks at two different tables which was odd as she served everyone else at both anyways. Other than that the park bit looked fun but we didn’t get to try it out to my daughter’s dismay due to snow still pulled up. Maybe next time
Four of us attended this evening 18/7/23 for dinner. Ordered 4 starters and mains. Passed on allergy details and was told by Ross that there could be cross contamination because although they do have two fryers they 'tend to just use the one'. Because of this the order was amended to exclude chips and swapped a chicken breast for the chicken burger. Waited almost 45 minutes for our food and the mains were brought when we hadn't had starters. Also the allergy note hadn't been paid attention to and burger was served with chips. We were offered to have all of our food together, which although wasn't good enough, was accepted. The burger for the allergy was to be remade as well as one of the starters which we were told had gone cold. These were both for the same person so this resulted in three people with two courses each and one sitting with nothing. When the burger was remade it was brought out on a plate with nothing else on it and it was hanging over the side with sauce dripping off the plate despite all of the extra space for it. The burger was missing item and the other starter was still not ready. Offer was made of the burger being made for the third time, this was declined as it would have resulted in one person having their meal after everyone else was finished. Terrible service and Ross made multiple excuses from blaming 'new starts' and a rush. We saw no evidence of this at all, the place was less than half full. Shocking service from staff all round, including the cook staff telling waiting staff to 'move their arse' when putting up food for service. First and last visit.
I so wanted to like this place, always passed by it, but never ventured in, as I thought it looked a tad dingy! After reading reviews, it sounded promising. Anyway, took my mum and sister last week for lunch to celebrate what would have been my dad's 90th birthday. Easy to find, plenty of parking spaces and very nice decor inside.....traditional. Apart from the carvery, the menu was quite good, although a bit skimpy for vegan diners, and prices were reasonable. The girl who took my order was lovely and chatty. Our soft drinks were served quickly. Forty minutes later, the same girl came to ask how our food was.....couldn't tell you, we haven't received it yet!!!! 5 minutes passed and our order arrived. Food looked ok, albeit a bit bland looking. Mac n Cheese was nice, Philadelphia Cheesy Fries was a tad sickly due to the cheese sauce thought it would've been actual melted cheese Vegan Chicken burger was a let down, it was dry with a little relish and a bit of lettuce on a roll served with coldish chips! I actually think the order was sitting in the kitchen and was overlooked for some time. Although looking around at the other diners, their food looked lovely. I should've went with my first instinct and continued on to The Esquire, a little bit further along Great Western Road.....their vegan burger is fantastic! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options were quite good. Vegan, I wouldn't bother!
The staff on duty on the day I was in 2 weeks ago were the friendliest of ANY establishment I've been in. Kudos. They all seemed very happy at their work and in harmony with each other. That can only mean good management in my opinion. So well done our female server was so lovely. We will definitely be back.Food: 5/5
We had a groupon voucher to use and as my partner took it to the till the woman serving said “she hates these groupon vouchers and hates putting them through”. Not professional is it. Didnt get any cutlery and had to ask for it which we got an apology for. Starters of salt n chilli mushrooms and poppin chicken were good. My partner also got the carvery and they had no gravy left. Seriously? Lol they made some up and brought it out 10 mins later when the food was cold. I got a burger that was ok.
Forgot this carvery was opened and decided to pop in with my son for a quick lunch. There’s plenty of parking outside and all wheelchair accessible The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was lovely on both kids and carvery menu, and portions were huge on the brownies yum! will definitely be back Food: 5/5
3 of us went in and got the 3 course dinner option , plenty to choose from we had the carvery which was delicious.... The staff were pleasant and helpful , Jackie and Catherine looked after us and nothing was a problem , nice friendly atmosphere .
Received two large carveries via delivery. What I received had items missing, the rest was inedible, one roast potato, a few peas, a few carrots, stale Yorkshire pudding and everything stone cold! A dismal standard of food! Utterly embarrassing sending this to a customer! To top it all, the aggressive, intolerant attitude of the female who took my complaint left me aghast at the shocking standard of customer service! A family member had to drive to the restaurant to collect two replacements. Not the first issue I have had with this restaurant but it certainly will be the last! Food - fail! Customer service - fail! "Trained staff" - fail! "Management" - fail!
