The Tickled Trout in Bearsden is a country pub & restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character.

Story

A little pub history - The land on which the inn stands was originally purchased by the owner of Boclair Farm in Milngavie and began life as a shop selling vegetables grown on the farm. The Antonine Wall, built after Hadrian's Wall, runs nearby and a Roman bath house was found a mile to the west of the pub at Bearsden. Also found, at the near by Chapel Hill, were altars and religious stones with Roman inscriptions. A mix of The Tickled Trout's location, character and history attracts many visitors. The River Allander that flows through the town has played an important part in its development and fly-fishing is a popular pastime.

Good careful service, social distance and hygiene rules well observed. Unfortunately the sun had gone behind the building by the time we arrived at night so the outdoor tables were in shadow, but we moved inside and the food was really good. Fine friendly service too. Highly recommended.

We went for a meal on Saturday 5th January 2019, we had the weekend treat, it was so good we went back tonight Saturday 12th January 2019,  £23.95 for 3 course meal per person includes 2 drinks each from the list at the top of the menu, you have to give it a try,  the staff are so pleasant and helpful

Lovely food, massive portions, great service and a nice relaxed atmosphere

Had a lovely lunch here with my mum today. As always, food was beautiful, staff friendly and welcoming. Mains were on special offer, half price so fantastic value for money!

Tickled Trout is very nice place and good locations. There are 3-4 dinning options: outside, pub, formal, and some mix between them.  The location is very peaceful and the menu is designed well.

Lovely pub/restaurant, we had a seat right by the fire which was nice on a cold, wet day. The food was really nice, friendly staff and would definitely go back.

Been here several times & service & food excellent as always . Staff very friendly & great atmosphere. Would highly recommend it. Jeff made us absolutely fab lattes!
