Staff from maternity which we meet was more than 5 stars, they all treat my wife and my baby with kindness and respect!!!nI do want to thank to the hole team, I do remember a couple of names of the ladies which looked after my wife in the maternity: Rebecca and Emma assisted my wife mostly during the birth which are super amazing, Anna, Daria, but all the ladies came and interacted with us have been amazing and will thank them from my heart for taking care of my wife and my son!nnReason why I should be dropping the stars, but I can’t as the ladies are amazing with helping us.nFirst we been ask to come for 5 days in the row to the hospital for an induction, but all the time at 8 when the staff changing shifts, so nobody will look at as until 9:45 or something like that! And was a shortage in staff, even if we been recommended by one of their doctors to do the induction as soon as possible.nAnother big reason, in the hospital it’s absolutely freezing, me an my wife we got a cold as the room temperature was 19-20 degrees, this is trough the general temperature from the hole building, it may be oldI don’t know that but for me it’s really annoying that this can’t be controlled from individual rooms and staff brought us an electrical radiator which didn’t really make any difference! The ladies they done absolutely everything they could to help us.nnSo if something it is to change in here is from up board, where they need to allocate more staff, and better resources to this hospital!nCleaning in some of the rooms not up to the standards, this can be improved, but again, may be the staff overstretched and overwhelmed with amount of work! As I seen the ladies working continuously!
I had a CT scan at this hospital. Staff was amazing. One lady walking in the corridor with a baby in the pushchair stopped and asked if I needed any help, and walked with me to show the scan department. I learned she was working at this hospital but was going home after work. Then I went into the department, they were working like a beehive, very kind, very efficient. Generally I complain a lot of things about NHS but I wanted to leave this comment for these great people. Thank you !
Bedford south wing beeden house clinics where they deal with cardiac and urology patient's over several floors of the building not helped by lifts being out of action. medical staff are friendly and helpful but the odd jobs worth lurks at the reception desks who seems to think you'll go away if they act like a thick plank to your question of where a patient should be taken for assessment when booking in
If you're a person of colour, or foreign, you might as well save yourself the time, turn back and go to another hospital! I'm sure you can understand the level of uncare and bad treatment we got from staff, particularly at the maternity ward, whom majority seem old and stuck in their ways! Sorry I thought a nurses job was to primarily provide support and care?nAbsolutely disgusting treatment, only 1 other than birth partner as visitor, yet a caucasian person is allowed 4 visitors .nnThey couldn't even take good care of the patient, having to have chased up medication herself, create med. Charts and no updates, as if left there to rot! Endless scans and no sure answer as to what is going on, seriously? The list goes on, this is day 9 btw...nnWe were watched and questioned by a grey top nurse, as to where we are going, even though we were just minding our own business waiting to swap over to see the patient! Unnecessary questioning, as if we were about to rob the hospital or something!!! I set the story straight yet she had the cheek to stand there with the door opened waiting for our next move, we were two adults with our small children!nThis is the last I hope I ever go to this hospital, in this day and age and such backwards mentality disgusting treatment, and they call themselves 'professionals'
