I had a total knee replacement operation performed by Mr Edge in October 2022. At all times my consultant, Mr Edge and the rest of the hospital staff were professional, friendly, supportive and caring and I felt in very safe hands throughout my time at the Manor hospital. Maureen Wicks was my physiotherapist and she was superb. My exercise program was carefully tailored to my needs and with Maureen’s support I have achieved virtually full mobility in under eight weeks. Don’t skimp on carrying out your exercises as this will greatly assist your recovery and achieving full movement in your new knee. My sincere thanks to Mr Edge and his team for the surgery that was performed on my knee and for everyone else at the Manor Hospital for their individual contributions to the mobility I am enjoying now, in such a relatively short period of time after the operation. You have all been instrumental in giving me my life back and I cannot thank every one of you enough.
I very recently had partial knee replacement surgery, I was very impressed with all the staff at the Manor, they really looked after me whilst I was there. The physio Maureen Wicks was really good, she gave me very good advice when I had problems on the first morning standing, she came back later and by the afternoon I was walking with crutches. Her help with my rehabilitation since then has been excellent always giving lots of encouragement. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing a physiotherapist. I only had a two night stay at the Manor and can honestly say I was very impressed with the care given.
I attended the Manor hospital to have both of my knees replaced and the care I received from all the staff was nothing short of exceptional! The surgeon was excellent and all the nurses were so kind and helpful. The care I received from my physiotherapist Maureen was amazing! She was so kind and really went above and beyond to optimise my recovery post surgery.
I would like to thank everyone at The Manor for their excellent treatment, care and support. My rehabilitation was hard but well worth it. I was back dancing at 12 weeks. My especial thanks to Maureen Wicks, my physio. She worked me hard but she was very encouraging. She showed me what I needed to do, then made sure I could do it. My physio programme was on an app which was invaluable. Thank you Maureen, the hard work was definitely worth it.
My wife has had a great experience at the Manor Hospital. Maureen, the physio has been so helpful and very friendly, and nothing is too much trouble for her. Mr. Garde who did the operation, did a great job, and her right leg is now nearly back to normal, and the scar has healed up very well. My wife found all the staff brilliant, and can't wait to go back to the Manor to have her left leg operated on, and get back to a normal life at last! Cannot thank everyone enough!!
I've recently had shoulder surgery under the care of Orthopaedic Surgeon Mr Singh and Physiotherapist Maureen Wicks. The journey from consultation to surgery only took 6 weeks for an issue that has been disturbing me for over 10 year! Everyone I came into contact with at the hospital were polite and provided the right level of care required. I would definitely recommend The Manor Hospital.
I had my outpatient appointment 3 weeks ago. Since then I have to constantly make calls to find out what's happening with my test results and when my next already paid test will be booked. 1. I left a voicemail to the hospital executive director asking them to call me back to discuss my complaint - nothing happened. 2. I'm waiting for the next test to be booked - nobody can help me, everyone is saying "I will look into it and chase up the relevant department" 3. Can't get my test results via by post or by email - again, dead silence, everyone promises to help but nothing happens and nobody calls back 4. Got my appointment report only after 2.5 weeks and nobody was able to find it before 5. Received post saying my next appointment is booked in 2 days ?, called the reception, they said it's an error, nothing is booked 6. The imaging department doesn't answer the phone, and neither reception nor my doctor's secretary knows what's happening with my imaging test and why it is not booked. 7. My doctor's secretary has a very limited availability, I called probably a dozen time over a week to finally catch her. She also has very limited knowledge about what's happening as "she is not working at the hospital" no idea what that means and why do I need to worry about that? Why then I was referred to call her so many times? I asked here to provide the test results 5 days ago - and.... nothing? 8. Got a call from the reception once suggesting to book the follow-up appointment, when I said that I'm awaiting for the final test to be done - they said they will look into it and.. nothing happened 9. The reception advised me to call the Saxon hospital, get a referral from Manor hospital etc etc I don't understand why I have to do all these admin activities and make tons of calls to find out what my next steps are. Why the hospital can't take care of that?
Had my knee operation at the manor. The staff were amazing. So friendly and welcoming. Especially Sandy on the front desk who went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and special. My knee is completely back to normal after 3 months. Mr Sood was a fantastic surgeon. I highly recommend this hospital
I received five-star treatment from the moment i entered the hospital for my hip surgery, all the staff were very professional and very pleasant and made me feel at ease, special thanks to Chris Rae my pre-assessment nurse and Maureen Wicks my physio who were so helpful. With the experience i had at Manor Hospital i would definitely recommend it.
The stay at the Manor hospital where I had a hole knee replacement, was so relaxing, the staff were professional but very friendly. Thank you to Mr Garda and all staff who attended to me . You made me feel extra special, thanks again.
