This park is very big with many things to do for the whole family! There are hiking, biking and walking paved paths for all levels. The trees have just about lost all their leaves, but still very beautiful! The river was pretty dried up and we could walk quite a distance on the bed. Beautiful!!!
Very nice little big park. With baseball diamonds a few playgrounds and trails. All have plenty of parking for each. I rate the paved trails a medium only for the elevation change. The dirt trails were also a medium from what I saw with tree roots and likely with some hard elevations. However i did not travel down very far.The park trails are for walking only, pets are welcome. They have weekly programs most of which were free the most of $5 per person this month. Time maybe different I would call before making a trip. Camping is only for special arraignment , so no same day camping.
Fun little park. Partner and I did a short, 1.5 mile hike, which was paved. The end “scenic” location was just a little rock and and falls, but was nice to break up the monotony of the road trip.
when it’s 74 degrees on Christmas and you’ve opened all of your presents, you may wanna be like me and take a nice invigorating hike in the woods! i am amazed with how beautiful this park is!
I've been here a number of times. The hiking areas are well maintained, there's a really interesting disc golf course that goes through the trees. Lots of open Green Space and picnic areas. And everything is well maintained Restrooms: The restrooms are clean. Dog-friendliness: Lots of people were walking dogs down the hiking trail when we were there. Picnic area: There is an abundance of picnic space in the park.
Such a great park that supports the Murfreesboro softball/baseball teams. We have enjoyed the fields, consessions, & convenience of this park for several seasons. There is also a great walking/biking paved trail that is clean, safe, dog friendly & well lit. The wilderness trail & educational bldg. that has some live critters is a fun visit also. There are several play areas & covered pavilions for family get togethers & play dates. It is well worth your time to pack a picnic lunch, grab the family & bikes for a fun afternoon.
Always have a great time at Barfield Crescent Park. Rec areas, playgrounds, picnic areas, educational options and activities for kids and grownups, and hiking trails are available for fun times for the whole family.
Nice paved walking trail through the woods. River lookout at the end. Will definitely walk it again
Love the playground area , wish there were more places to sit when there is a reservation at the pavilions, you feel like you're intruding and there's no place to just relax.
My son and I trekked 5 miles through the trails, for a scouting requirement. The weather was nice and we had a good time.
