UPDATE :- THIS BRANCH IS NOW CLOSED FOR SMOKE DAMAGE AFTER WATERSTONES NEXT DOOR WAS SET ABLAZE.
ALSO :- Barclays decided to shut down nearly every branch in Southampton, deciding to save money and have just 1 main branch lol. Therefore now this branch is closed for 3 months I would have thought that the morons who decided to close every branch apart from Shirley to make an extra 100 million every year are scratching there heads thinking I wonder if I'm a T**T.
Anyways apart from their failure, Very Helpful staff once you can get to speak to one.
Seems understaffed, most of the assistance and advisors being replaced by electronic machines that rarely work.
If you need to speak to someone upstairs then you will need to sit and wait for atleast an hour, usually 2 hours.
It's dreadfully understaffed, despite Barclays closing the Bitterne Branch and the London Road branch, therefore getting all customers at this the above bar branch.
All I can conclude is if you need help with your banking needs then use Barclays Telephone Banking services as these are amazingly brilliant 5 🌟🌟 🌟🌟🌟.
Overall as far as I'm concerned Barclays is doing a rubbish job so I only give 2 stars out of 5, may I suggest you sign up with a different bank.

Don't get what's up with all these negative reviews, I've had no problems with the staff as they've been very helpful and the layout is very customer friendly. Always seems to have staff ready to greet you with a smile; always a pleasure.

Used the coin machine yesterday ate my coins I was told they weren't busy that their machines would be taken down for the hour I looked at the queue left. No money. It's not much but it's my tips and I need them for a smoke right now ... Will change rating when I go in today and get my missing 7 pounds

I love Barclays bank, only trouble is the customer service sometimes.

Shocking service for businesses, one human teller and 4 machine tellers. The machines don't take more than 200 notes at a time, they do not issue any change either. We run businesses and can't afford to stand in queues for 45 min everyday. Barclay's doing banking wrong.
