absolutely shocking mortgage advice. Mortgage advisor doesn't know how to add up saying my basic is over 5k lower than in actually is and they saying we need to add 27k to a mortgage when the short fall was 19k. Also been given the run around for 2 weeks prior to his words of so call wisdom.
Worst bank service I have ever experienced. The receptionist does not care in the slightest what your needs are, does not smile, looks like she’s just waiting for the day to end which I understand but should not the shown to customers. This is literally the worse branch of any bank I have walked into in my life.
If I treated my customers the way Barclays Loughborough treats their customers, I wouldn’t have a business. I entered Barclays branch for the first time last week requesting help, I was met by a lady at the front desk, no smile, no warmth, offered no help or support with my question. I think your team need some basic training in how to treat customers.
Advertised as open to 3-30pm when the cashier desk closes at 2pm. A member of staff on the entrance agreed with me that I would be better to change bank if I need a service that offers better opening hours. Nationwide offer a switchover service and credits you £100. I have 2 accounts that I will change and next step to change 2 mortgages which are coming to end of contract. This ends approximately 19 years of doing business with them
1 till open with no queue, 1 withdrawal machine, told to use one of 2 deposit machines for cash and cheques, taking far too long, customers complaining to assistant whom could be at till, where is the staffing whem machines don't work?
During a visit from London, I visited this branch with my 91 year old mother-in-law on 25/11/22 at 12pm. The background is that she is partially sighted with no access to Internet or Mobile banking, is unable to visit this branch due to mobility issues, and was unable to negotiate Barclay’s automated phone-answering service. She had run out of cheques and cash. We had written to this branch and also to Barclays Customer Relations in July and never received a response. We visited the branch with my mother-in-law, and we would like to thank the friendly Scottish employee who went the extra mile to help my mother-in-law by ordering a new cheque book for her, and by helping her withdraw some cash from the machine. We are pleased to report that the cheque book did arrive in the post. This very helpful lady has by her actions redeemed the reputation lost by Barclays in its failure to answer our letters, and hence its lack of concern for a disabled elderly customer.
Easy to use machines to print statements but need an appointment to set up accounts and can be days to weeks waiting time
very disappointed with this bank i have been a customer with an account for over 30 years tried to open another one just to save money up and got refused saying I could not have a separate account for that not even a saving account
Absolutely a shambles of a bank, they do not deserve long standing customers. Long queues waiting to be served and long call times and when you do get through 9 times out of 10 its somone in Delhi India who answers probably next door to the online scammers building. I always ask to be put back through to someone in ENGLAND not India, they are using cheap labour to increase profits with little thought for customer security. Unfortunately for a long time i have said its time to switch but now that time is here. Terrible bank no current account incentives either, if i could give minus one stars i would!
This morning 10th February at Loughborough Branch of Barclays, I was given exceptional service as Kim helped me do two transactions on two different machines because the counter machine was not able to do it. Praise must go to the two ladies holding the fort, with so many staff off. Please pass on my thanks to them both for their patience.
