We had lunch at The Beacon in Loughborough and the food was delicious and looked amazing. The drinks were great too. Just a heads-up – the wait for food was a bit long, so make sure you have enough time to enjoy your meal without rushing. Overall, a great experience: Thank you Food: 5/5
From the special menu we tried the leak soup, which was really delicious, and the brie burger both pictured here. Really tasty! The atmosphere was warm and quiet, tho we did go quite early. We had a reservation but around 5pm on a week day it might not be necessary. They have a beautiful dining room and bar. Dietary restrictions: They had gluten free bread upon request for soup.
We went to The Beacon for Sunday roast. The staff were super friendly and the food was amazing and very well presented. Highly recommended.Food: 5/5
Lovely local pub to go to for a quick pint with really great homemade pork scratchings. I've not had a meal yet. The only off putting thing has been the music that was played as it was what you would typically expect at a Uni hang out, not the ambiance you expect with the typical clientele that I've seen in there the few times I've been.
We went for Sunday lunch. It was AWFUL . The starter was soup which was VERY VERY salty . The Sunday lunch was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL teaspoon of mash three strands of cabbage , one and half roast potatoes and roast beef was terrible. The Yorkshire pudding was so sloppy it could not be eaten . Dessert was far far too sweet. Will not be going back for another meal.
Popped in with family for lunch. First time visiting for me. Pleasantly surprised. Lovely staff and tasty home cooked meals. I had the beef brisket. It was delicious. Meals enjoyed by everyone. Will be back.Food: 5/5
Amazing brisket. Other food options are also good, but the brisket is not to be missed!!! No competition. Also, they have very friendly staff who are always there to help even when the restaurant is extremely busy and they are running around to serve everyone in a timely manner and with a smile on their face. Overall, you can expect a very enjoyable and memorable experience.

Just called in for a coffee with friends. Very pleasant atmosphere, nice to be able to sit outside but still be under cover.Food: 5/5
Not the greatest if I'm honest, food did take a while and unfortunately the wrong food came so had to watch everyone else eat while the correct food was sorted. They did sort me out with a free pint in return though. I would recommend the staff make note of orders rather than just trying to remember...tends to result in mistakes that are completely avoidable.
