"Halifax is a unique bank on the high street. Halifax colleagues go the extra mile to make things easier for customers, removing barriers and complexity from their everyday lives whether in a branch, online or over the phone. To find out what accessibility services are available in your local branch, search for it in our branch finder."
Always found the staff here to be really helpful and friendly. Busy Saturday morning so could do with extra staff to reduce que
3rd July, walked in to the counter with my expired debit card to order an up-to-date card. The member of staff in a loud voice ordered me to tell her my mother's maiden name, obviously, I refused since she does not know as a bank staff where to ask a sensitive information. She refuse to order me a new card unless I tell her my mother's maiden name, when I ask my expired card back she did not also want to give me this. This member of staff is so racist that she thinks black people should not have any respect or privacy. Respect and privacy is one of banks most simple Code of Practice known to everyone. Halifax get your act together and stop employing Racist people and unhelpful people.
Appalling service. Was sent a letter about opening an ISA. Went into the branch, was told I needed an appointment and then said there none available!
Visited at lunchtime lots of customers waiting. One person serving with another waiting to relieve him for a break. Why not have a full bank of staff over lunch? When another staff member came on he addressed the elderly lady at the front of the queue by saying 'alright?' Where has the 'sorry to keep you waiting, can I help?. Terrible customer service skills. Young men need training on basic skills of how to address customers despite their colour or age. Please and thank you's, have a nice day are simple words to keep your customers. None of them smiling serving customers is obviously a h8ndrence in this branch.
A person/company pays money into my account and yet when trying to find out their details after suspecting possible fraud I am told by customer services that due to data protection this information cannot be disclosed. Absolutely unbelievable that privacy and data comes before fraud prevention and detection. The lunatics have clearly taken over the asylum. The low Halifax reviews are clearly justified .
Long queue only one person on the counters. Paying in machine not accepting cash.
*DREADFUL SERVICE* given to my Mother Mrs Alp, now in her 80's. An Asian guy belittled her & said "Why do you want to withdraw this cash?" !!!!! How dare he speak to my mother like that!!! She said to me "Its NONE of his business why I was withdrawing money to pay for market vegetables etc", due to his RUDENESS she has changed banks and LEFT the Halifax after being there since 1964!! THEIR LOSS..
Wasn’t able to ring the branch directly, had to go through an outsourced call centre got through after 9 mins to be told they don’t have the branch telephone number so can’t but need through. Still hiding behind Covid!
No opening on Saturdays now I work full time and get every other Saturday off.Their hours seem to be geared for the jobless with no money which is ironic!
Not been here yet but supposed to set up an account so may change my rating if not good enough service
