Nice basic pub. Went there for an afternoon tea (by Groupon), all started nicely, we were seated and while waiting for the afternoon tea we ordered a portion of chips. Before the tray arrived the waiter validated our voucher. When we finished eating asked for the bill. The waiter said there is nothing to pay; when I mentioned the chips, he waived dismissively and said do not worry. We finished our bites got dressed and was about to leave when a member of staff whistled after us and when I turned around he pointed to the bar. I walked back to see what is going on and a waitress just said from a distance "You did not pay for your chips!" The place had other guests, it was humiliating. I told her I never forget to pay my bill and I was told it's been sorted, but after making a show of me for a £2.95 portion of chips, I pay as I need no favour from anyone. Will not return and would not recommend going there.

AFTERNOON TEA AT BARBACOA. Would have preferred more sandwiches and less cakes, however all the food was wonderfully fresh, and all topped off with a lovely pot of tea, which was readily replenished. Very friendly staff and a lovely clean venue. Can recommend

Great place. Food was really hood. Not like pub food, believe chef cooks for both bar and restusrant. Top quality, definitely going to going regularly

Last week we had a party of 40 booked. The booking of the meal was a bit unorganised as I was not told I had to pre-order everyone's meal and give notice of this a week in advance. They told me this a few days before which left me trying to get everyone order in a rush. I also never received replies to emails and phone calls which resulted in me having to physically go down and speak to the manager. The restaurant itself was set out great. They had sectioned off an area of the bar so we had a private area. The meals where all served at the same time; with a few minor errors which were corrected. We then had use of the private area for the rest of the evening which was great. Some of the bar staff were only giving single shots instead of doubles in drinks and then charging for doubles so we had to challenge this. But overall, a very enjoyable evening. However, I dont think we would return for another event.
