Bannatyne Health Club And Spa

Been a member for about a year. The facilities are great and the staff are really helpful. Never had a problem with cleanliness. Love it

We went for spa and afternoon tea. The relaxation room and treatment rooms are beside main entrance so had to keep walking through on way from pool etc. £20 deposit for robe towel and flip flops of which you only get £14 back because you keep flip flops. No refreshments in the relaxation room, I had to ask for water which arrived about 30 minutes later and not enough room as only 7 beds and not really anywhere else nice to sit. The treatment was fine but the afternoon tea was a disgrace. 3 1/4 sandwiches each and the bread wasn't fresh 1 scone and a few tiny cakes less than an inch square. I've been to much better places. For what they charge I expected better. The photo is tea for 2

This place is OK for the ladies who want a cheap pampering session. Not so good as a member, you are neglected in favour of the day visitors, pool is too small to cater for everyone as is the spa pool, sauna, and steam room. The only thing going for it is the excellent gym equipment and classes.

Great facilities. Only issues is it's too small! Staff very friendly. Better than Result fitness which is tiny and dirty.

Probably best healthclub in area but has some basic issues that management refuse to adress. Firstly the drains in the scruffy sauna stink and all they do is put bleach on the problem and blame the cleaner when its the procedure at fault. Secondly I cannot train calves there the calf machine is a waste of space. Finally I had the worst massage treatment ever experienced in a uk health club. The girl caused me back pain for 3 days and caused me ear pain by ringing bell in my ear and did not apogise nor did management. They ask for feedback then decide im a frootloop and ignore me! It is also really hard work for them to find you a towel at 55 quid a month they take ages then still charge you 2 quid. The staff here are more friendily than other clubs but there are a couple of individuals that are allowed to be horrible for some reason. When you see men in shirts and ties looking at lockers and examining equiptment you know the company operates a pyramid structure and doesnt care about its staff... so I left. The men in shirts should get some manual labour done instead of lording it over others.
