If the food does not turns up at the same time as the others on your table don't worry you won't be on your own as other tables will be there in the same state. As an ex chef I hope one-day they may gain some sort of professionalism. Please avoid this establishment.

Good looks good. Very slow though in getting it. The staff leave a lot to be desired. You lad seems pleasant but nervous. The young girl with blue colour in hair not helpful at all, rather surly.

Excellent customer service. Shout out to George who has been incredibly professional and helpful in helping to organise a group booking for the summer. He was also great when he was working in the restaurant/bar area. Cosy pub, excellent dining room layout, roaring log fire and a good meal too.

Went in the Bankes arms for the first time yesterday.. Even tho we only live in Poole we has never visited before. We were greeted by a lovely young man which nothing was too much trouble for him. We wernt sure whether to order food but after seeing the specials board we were led towards the mushroom and chicken with creamy mash.. Oh my word beautiful '!' Absolutely delicious!! The setting was so cozy and comfortable, with fairy lights and open fire it was the best fire I've visited in such a long time.. Define going back there.. We haven't stopped talking about or wonderful evening.. Fantastic, definitely recommend
