Really good zoo. Just the right size to go round in one day. Large enclosures for the animals, friendly zoo keepers and good play areas. And really interesting animals too. Staff at high wire attraction particularly excellent. Food is terrible though. Bring your own.

Although the cost of admission is a little on the expense side for day out, I think it was worth the money and not overpriced. Animals well looked after in well designed enclosures. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was good fun and the 11 yo boy I was with loved it. Took about 3 hours to get around the whole place, so we got our money's worth! :)

This was our 3rd visit in 10 years. On each occasion the zoo has expanded its collection of endangered species and improved facilities. Disabled access is very well catered for and the zoo is reasonably flat. The allows mixing with some of the animals which is great to get up close, the other enclosure are spacious and cater well for the animals but at the same time giving good observational platforms. There plenty of toilet facilities and places to eat. The meals are good size portions, tasty and we'll prepared (I recommend the sausages) and also cater small meals for children. There is ample parking, we prefer to visit off peak as it is quiet and much more pleasant experience than busy periods.

Banham is a lovely place to take the children to (2.5 years and 5 months) the two year old got so much out of her visit, she especially loved collecting the stamps to get her medal! It's easy to get round the whole zoo without exhausting the children too much and the free train that goes round the zoo is much loved by the 2yr old and informative for parents! Lots of places for toilet breaks and to change the baby. And great picnic areas if you are organised enough to bring one. There is discount if you book online and children under 3 are free (great for families with little ones) A really good range of animals, the tigers are my favourite!

We had a really good time here. Loads to see and do, makes a fantastic day out! Would defiantly recommend a visit here if you are near by. Nice large restaurant in site too with a good range of food. Be prepared to do some walking as this is a big site!
