Ballathie House Hotel

Afternoon tea - one word - fabulous. The staff are attentive but discrete. The food was imaginative, very well presented and so tasty. As good an experience we've had anywhere.

I was a wedding guest here and stayed for one night in the main hotel. The drawing room, dining room, bar and stairs and hallway are all gorgeous to look at and the food is delicious. The service and attention to detail is very good too. A place full of character in lovely setting.

I am blown over by the level of service we recieved while eating here yesterday for lunch. My sister and I have food allergies and intolerences and we have never went anywhere that has been so accommodating. We normally just choose off the menu and ask for certain things to be removed if possible however, the staff went above and beyond and made us both a beautiful meal. I would definitely go back and would highly recommend eating here.

Friendly staff, romantic setting with fine views overlooking the river Tay. Only complaint was the poor dinning choice either 60 quid a head gourmet meal in the dinning room or limited bar supper which was the same as the lunch menu. Rooms was quaint and clean. I liked the fact the furnishings were antique and were intended to give a homely lived in feel. If you like hotels with all the mod cons this hotel might not be for you. Wifi was very poor worked in some parts of hotel not in the room.

very nice hotel, bit on the expensive side, staff are very attentive and charming. Not a great deal to do in the evenings.
