Backhouse Park

Nice walk through the park.croucus are out and very pretty.used by dog walkers.runners.school children. Families use as well nice player each for small children.suitable for wheelchair users .but there are some steep banks. Birds and grey squirrels in the park.no public facilities or refreshments.

Pleasant walk.flowers out carpet of colour.birds and squirrels. Popular with dog walkers.families in play area. There is a friends of the park group. No public facilities or refreshments area.

A special place for a quiet walk or run. Great for the dogs. Lots of memories going back to childhood in the days when there were signs everywhere ....Keep of the Grass! And a parkeeper to chase the kids. All gone now and grounds are left to run wild..

Lovely park. Some lovely people & dog's. Shame the stream grid isn't unblocked more regular. Bins need emptying more.

Backhouse park is a beautiful park with an a air of times past. It still has an ancient vibe about the place and the fact that it hasn't been overly manicured like other parks in Sunderland only adds to the impression that you are in a place which is still somewhat wild and untamed. Whatever the season Backhouse park has something magical to offer.
