Beautiful long sandy beaches to rival anything north of the water. Lots of cafes and restaurants to satisfy any pallet and budget. Walk your dogs run your horses skim some Stones or even your phone. Stand on the promenade under the pier and play chicken with the waves. The only thing that mama's this fantastic North East waterside experience is the greed of the greedy figures at Sunderland Council who unfollowed hot on the heels of the even greedier buggers at South Tyneside Council and put parking metres everywhere in sight.

Lovely coastal park with annual illumination celebrations. Really good family walks and ambience

Dog poo everywhere really wound me up. Also the litter wound me up. Good place to walk dog though. Would recommend.
