Without a booking, we turned up at this restaurant on the off chance of having a special lunch to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! With a small wait, we were warmly greeted and taken to our table to have a fantastic meal! The right side of posh but a nice relaxed atmosphere. Food amazing, location amazing and not ridiculously expensive - made us feel special! Will return, but not taking a chance - will book. Again many thanks.
I visited this during the month of July. Ambiance amazing. Spotlessly clean. Staff friendly even though this is a very busy place serving those with more money. Views are spectacular. Drinks are extortionate... I paid £15+ for two 330ml London Pale Ale. I cannot comment on their food offer because I did not eat on this occasion.
I took my boyfriend here for lunch as a birthday treat, we had such a great time. The service from start to finish was amazing, the welcoming ladies who greeted us and our lovely waiter! The views are amazing as you are walked to your table! Lovely glass of prosecco to start and a cheeky bottle of red wine also very nice...and then the food. Wow beautifully presented and delicious we shared the beef and salmon starters, Brisket and Hake mains and for dessert pannacotta and a sable biscuit with ice cream! Took our bottle of wine onto the terrace heated that looks over the gardens! You can go down to the 6th floor and walk around the beautiful gardens...they also have flamingoes!! Brilliant day out! We're already thinking about going back!
A decent view of London and the flamingos which can be seen on 6th floor terrace from the 7th floor terrace. The menu was limited but the food was cooked to a high standard and well presented. The waiter that served us most of the time during our 2 hours in the restaurant was pleasant enough but a little on the slow side and he sniffed habitually which probably isn't ideal. There were heaters working all round the terrace which didn't need to be on as it wasn't cold. In fact, it was uncomfortably hot to sit under them. Even so, a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours in London.
The lunch set menu on the weekend is not only very tasty, but also great value. The risotto was delicious.
Food was amazing and sequence of service was close to perfect however it could have been better if the server paid more attention to us dinners rather than doing things like a robot. The attitude and arrogance of the staff was very noticible and could have been avoided so as to make my wife's and my 1st impression count. I personally would mot recommend nor advise this place to my family and friends solely for the attitude of the hostess and servers as you can get the same quality of food in other roof top restaurants with welcoming / warm service.
I took my work Team here for a lunch treat and we were all super excited about the pink flamingos - more so than the actual cuisine! The culinary delights were truly scrumptious, however, the staff were outrageously rude, curt and quite frankly, miserable. It totally tarnished our Babylon dining experience. When I booked a table for 2pm, the receptionist should have clearly stated that the kitchen closes at 3pm! We felt rushed and uncomfortable. After the misery of the dining experience, we all went to recline with the pink Flamingos - so these beautiful birds made up for our disappointment. Heidi
Top marks ! The Roof gardens are fantastic. All the staff were exceptional, we had a lovely waitress Brigitta ,who looked after us beautifully. The food was absolutely delicious & the chef made an exquisite birthday desert. A huge thank you to everyone.
Lovely food. Beautiful drinks. Friendly staff. But being 7 storeys up in a roof garden overlooking the London skyline is fantastic regardless of how nice it is. But the quality of the food and drink makes this a fantastic place to be
Average. Food was very salty but with a punchy price tag. Our Italian waitress was very unprofessional, almost like it was a chore to serve us. Upon paying the bill she started to complain about staying late until all customers have left. Price tag is punchy - £100 a head. Starter- Tiny, tiny pork belly. Main: Nice beef but topping spoilt it due to salt content. Pudding: Peach and honeycombe mousse - very average, did not like and would never order again. Pudding costing £12.50! Live music was slightly karaoke - the girl singer was terrible but the saxophonist was great.
