Great atmosphere. To start, we got zucchini frites. Which were super good. They were nice and crunchy, perfectly shaped and the sauce was tasty. We also tried the truffle pasta which was nice and tasty. Highly recommend the zucchini. For dinner, we got shepherds pie, which was flavorful and filling. The meat was tender. The peas were a cook accompaniment to it. We also got the chicken Milanese. The breading was a little burnt. The sauce was good though. I would get something else next time. Not the biggest fan. For dessert we got the sticky toffee pudding. Which was excellent. I think I would have preferred ice cream on top, but still very good.
Lovely evening with my mum! I wanted to have a great British classic dish so my mum and I decided to go for the traditional Fish & Chips. It was beyond tasty and delicious! A generous portion with an amazing crisp coating. The chips were perfect! The tartar sauce was outstanding! I really liked the way in which the lemon was given, with a net so to avoid the seeds to fall in the food. Very nice idea as well as amazingly presented! Miranda was our waitress, she was super attentive as well as helpful. She gave her best and genuine advice and she was ready at our attention. She went the extra mile with her smile!
I enjoy eating at different The Ivy franchises. There was a slight issue with my order but this was promptly resolved and a drink was given to me on the house, I had the steak with pepper sauce, fries and a red wine. The minute steak is light and good for not so heavy meals. Great service from the staff all round!
The Ivy’s £19.17 menu for two courses is an absolute winner. The food always feels value for money and meats and fish are always cooked excellently. Have come to this restaurant multiple times for a variety of different meals with the 1917, for brunch, dinner, and lunch with my partner, family, and friends - it’s a winner. You can’t go wrong with the Ivy if you’re looking for a nice meal in a beautiful restaurant with comfortable and spacious seating. The decor is gorgeous and hearkens back to the old society clubs of London. The duck liver parfait is one of my favourite dishes in London creamy and rich without too much of a gamey flavour and is very well priced for the amount served.
Very nice atmosphere, and the service is professional. It is on the high street which allows everyone to reach easily. We went there for an afternoon tea. I liked it. I may come for the second time. Prices are normal according to the position of the restaurant. You can find meat and hamburgers and sea food as well. Variable of coctails are also available for you. Enjoy.
fantastic experience. The vibe is super cozy and welcoming, and the decor really sets a nice mood. The food was on point. I ordered a Milanese, it was delicious. The drinks were great too, I ordered a Honey and Ginger Margarita. The staff were also friendly and made me feel right at home. definitely coming back :
Ah, Saturday morning - the perfect time to bask in the sunlight and indulge in a hearty breakfast. With dreams of a glorious Full English, I shunned the allure of the local greasy spoon in favor of a more refined setting, landing at The Ivy Kensington Brasserie. After all, what could go wrong at such an esteemed establishment? Well, let me paint you a picture. We arrived at a sprightly 10:35am, ready to embrace the day with a feast. A reservation in hand, I was expecting swift service, but alas, time has a funny way of slipping at The Ivy. By the time we were finally seated, it was already 10:50am, and then - shockingly - 11:02am before menus arrived. With breakfast ending at 11:00am sharp, my dreams of a Full English were dashed. Attempting to plead my case, I was greeted with the warm hospitality of a brick wall. “You’ve missed breakfast,” I was told, with the charm of a disgruntled bouncer. I should have walked away - but, alas, I stayed. Here’s what followed. Roasted Scallops: please see the picture. The scallops were overcooked, and sooooo small they were almost completely hidden by the truffle and parmesan emulsion. Yes, the potato puff was larger than the scallop - that is not a photography angle thing!!! I just don’t understand why any chef would let that leave his/her kitchen, let alone charge £15.95 for it. Truffle Chicken Milanese: Here’s where things started to look up. Fried to a perfect golden hue, the chicken was tender and moist, snugly tucked into a brioche crumb. The hen’s egg added richness, while the truffle cream tied it all together in a delicious little package. A brief moment of redemption - dare I say, even enjoyable? The Ivy Burger: Looks like complacency set in again, for what should have been a very simple dish to execute for The Ivy. There are no other words to describe that simply, ‘well done and dry’. As for the sesame bun, well this could have been described in a police report as a weapon of blunt force - now if only I could find the waiter that rudely advised I had missed breakfast by 2 minutes?!?! Zucchini Fritti: Ah, finally—a beacon of competence! On the second try, of course. The first attempt they were limp and at best were warm. But after being sent back, round two arrived hot, crispy, and paired with a refreshing lemon, chili, and mint yogurt dip. In short, this visit to The Ivy Kensington Brasserie was a masterclass in missed opportunities. From the agonisingly slow service to the wildly inconsistent food, it felt like the kitchen and staff were playing a game of culinary roulette - and I kept landing on zero!! I’d give The Ivy another chance, but next time, it’ll be at a location that knows how to treat both its food and customers with the care they deserve.
