Excellent service every time. So knowledgeable of their stock so always able to make a recommendation based on the needs of the client. My son has ASD and shoe shopping can be extremely stressful for us, we come back year after year for his school shoes as it makes so much difference when the team are accommodating and understanding. Took my baby to be measured for first shoes. I'm very particular about my children's footwear and left clarks dissatisfied with the measuring process, so thought I would give this place a go. It was above and beyond expectation after reading the Google reviews. Both ladies serving were excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable and good with the baby. They fitted expertly, knew what they were doing and were patient and ensured we got exactly what we needed. I was really impressed with the range of stock they held for a small store, they had Clarks, Start-Rite etc in the latest styles. Will be using this place as my go to from now on.
Traditional shoe shop, full measure & fitting service provided free of charge. Great place for school shoes for all ages. Reminded me of the shop I went to as a child to get my school shoes! Very helpful and friendly service from this family run business.
Stean footwear is a small well established shoe shop in Melbourne parade in west Chelmsford which offers excellent service and Geoff Stean is an expert shoe fitter who is is very committed and helpful owner of this family business. He caters mainly for children and also older people with foot issues and is often recommended by local podiatrists fir his excellent range of specialist footwear, I went there on recommendation from my podiatrist and got two pairs of Padders shoes which were carefully measured and fitted for me and I have already felt the benefit of one pair in my walking! Well done , Geoff! It was a pleasure to meet you and visit your shop!
excellent service received today. popped in as had a slight problem with some shoes I bought a couple of weeks ago, issue was resolved immediately and they couldn't have done more to put it right. exceeded my expectations. Well done Steans
Absolutely excellent customer service, so knowledgeable and really takes time to ensure shoes are the right fit, I'd never go to another shop for school shoes. Highly recommend.
Back to school shoe shopping can be stressful. B Stean benefits from not being on the High Street and prioritising old style customer service. The shoe styles are limited but there are enough to give choice and the quality is good.
Lovely experience picking my daughter's first pair of school shoes. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Great range of start rite and Clarks shoes.
Really good, helpful and friendly as usual. Excellent skill in fittitng shoes, especially for children. We go to B Stean for school shoes every time! My daughters are really pleased with their Glowform school shoes.
