Hired a car for 6 days and sadly had to bring it back twice during that time! Day 2: Engine warning light came on, rang and was told to ring AA after waiting for 40mins had a call from AA to say as there was no problem with car they wouldn’t be coming out. Advised to bring car in and get replacement. I did this and after 1 hr was driving away in a replacement car. My plans for that day had to be cancelled. Day 5: Warning light came on! This time oil needed. Had to bring car back and they added oil. Again on Day 5: My plans had to be changed. Very disappointed! Did mention when I returned the car. I feel I should have been offered money back for 1 extra day. Must also add: Both cars were clean and staff were friendly.
Great service. Nice Mercedes GLB was ideal for 4 adults and luggage. Reasonable insurance package gave worry free motoring. Would definitely use Avis again.
Dirty car, poor windscreen wiper performance and felt unsafe when drive. The MG car feature is good but staff less knowledge of the the car, the car is a bit fuel consume and low MPG but car performance is good.
Tried to get the agents to change my credit card from one to another. Both were in my name. I was told I couldn't change, even though I've done that for over 10 years, then I was told "I don't know how to do that" also was told I would loose my preferred status. Not a very professional location with knowledgeable staff

Took onboard the feedback and followed up on previous feedback Wed 17th Aug Hello Dora, this is a follow up in relation to my review yesterday. I have tried 5 times to call the office today but not getting through. Can you check please contact me to discuss my current booking, as there are a number of urgent items I need to discuss. Reference number 138347786. Tues 16th Aug Picked up a car this evening for business trip. First given a golf. Opened the booth and there was a bag rubbish in it. Brought it back to the office where the guy was rushing out the door, was told probably left there after cleaning. I thought fair enough. But when I got into the car it hadn’t been cleaned, it was dirty!!! Went back to the office, he didn’t have much to say, I said I wasn’t going to take the car. Basically threw another set of keys for another car at me, but no new paper work or car check. The car I got has loads of marks and dents. To be honest even though a relatively new car it’s worse for ware. First renting from Liverpool Avis for work, terrible experience. Usually go through Manchester, where service and cars are much higher standard. Perhaps some benchmark!! Daragh
We hired a Mercedes A class for 10 days. When the car handed to me I realised a small scratch on the front passenger side. I mentioned it to them and they recorded it. When the car was taken back they said there is a small scratch on the front driver side and no other scratches on the front passenger side. It was then when I realised I mentioned the scratch mistakenly on the wrong side since I mainly drive in America and I hired the car after my long stay in America. It was brought to their attention but despite this obvious mistake they still charge my card. Eventhough the common sense tells you that it was recorded wrongly specially when there was no scratch on the front passenger side. The staff n the female manger extremely rude n unhelpful. We are going to complain to their head office about this even take legal action. update: I was contacted by their area manager who promissed to refund the money for so called scratch to the wheels. They promised to make a refund by 19th of Aug 2020. Still I have not received any refunds. When I call them they say that it has not dealt with yet and they would do it in 72 hours. Still by today's date 31st of Aug 2020 nothing has been received. It is an absolulte headache. Very poor service and very unorganised. Will update you as I am not going to give up.
I CAN HONESTLY SAY AMY STACEY AND KEV NOT SURE IF KEV STILL THERE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN EXCEPTIONALLY HELPFUL, POLITE AND WOULD NEVER HIRE FROM ANY OTHER COMPANY, THEY GO ABOVE AND BEYOND TO ALWAYS HELP US, CARS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN CLEANED. 5 STAR
Never again will I rent from this company. The car broke down 3 time .I called the help line but got no answer. You then charged my card with an additional 177 euro ??? Without my knowledge. Please get back to me ASAP . The charge ref is E138345970.
I rented a vehicle from Avis, i was disappointed as the screen washer was empty i found out while I was on the motorway, which I feel was dangerous for me and my passenger, I had to buy it myself in the nearest service station, which I think is unprofessional
Rented two times now, no issues at all. Fleet of their cars is brand new with most of them from 2021. Never any problems with paperwork or documents, cars are always at the best working condition. Great service with returns after closure. If you're going to rent from LPL, AVIS is the way to go.
