I've found the receptionist are always professional and helpful, the Dr's, nurses and pharmacists have always listened to my concerns and seem invested in my care! The centre is clean and the facilities are great! Sometimes there can be a wait but I see it as the health care professionals giving each person the time they need and have faith that when I get to see the nurse or Dr, they will also give me the time I need. They're all amazing. I live and appreciate the NHS and Attenborough Surgery!! ********

For the second time on the trot, while the first prescription was signed by the GP the second prescription underneath was not. At least I spotted it in the surgery this time and didn't have to do the walk of shame from the pharmacy, feeling like some kind of drug addict trying to con medication from the chemist as I did last time. But it did take me five minutes to convince the person in reception that it wasn't signed so I would not be able to actually get my medication. I was then informed that it would have to go back in the tray for doctor sign and I would to come back another day, so good job it's not urgent. We all make mistakes, we are all human, but it would be nice if we were a bit more willing to admit that we have made one and then be prepared to go out of our way a little bit to rectifying our mistake, ie offer to take the prescription to a doctor and getting it signed while I wait rather than making me come back another day. I would say the nurses at the practice have always been great to me, very friendly and helpful, I can't say what the doctors are like, as in the four years I have been with the practice I have only seen one when I moved to the area and had to see one as part of registering. Some differences to my previous practice as I was actually seen and assessed on a regular basis by the asthma clinic there rather than getting a phone call once every year or two as I get here and I was called to be offered a flu jab when they were available while here it is never mentioned unless you are seeing one of the wonderful nurses about something else. It may be worth the practice considering that preventative healthcare is sometimes cheaper in the long run than treating the illnesses that occur without it, but I understand we live in times of austerity and targets.

Chest pains, dizziness, nausea and bloodshot eyes - guess at 99% chance nothing too serious but 1% chance of major issue. Receptionist asks, "Is it urgent?". Well, actually that's what I've come to the doctor to find out. Receptionist decides appointment can wait best part of 3 weeks. That's great, only 1% chance of ending up as emergency hospital case or worse.

Disappointed I have to give one star at all. The service is generally appalling, impossible to get through and book an appointment, never had an appointment on time - last week I waited 40 minutes to be seen for a prebooked appointment. This morning I witnessed a member of the reception staff proceed to shout at two fellow patients regarding “appointments they didn’t have” The lack of empathy exhibited by the reception staff, is ultimately a reflection of the entire surgery. The attitude and lack of professionalism of the reception staff I witnessed this morning was abhorrent. Moreover, while it is evident GPs are under time pressure deadlines, when writing a work medical certificate I do think it is appropriate to write “pain in face” as a legitimate reason for having time of work, when the individual was diagnosed with shingles and had informed their employer of such diagnosis. In all the service is of a substandard quality and I would not recommend Attenborough surgery.

30mins wait to get through on the phone typical and online booking only offers a fraction of actual appointments available. Perpetually runs late at any time of the day, brusque staff, lack of parking. Does have a number of reasonable GPs however.
