Danny Daly was an absolute joy to do business with. He was incredibly helpful towards the end of the conveyancing process following up with all parties to ensure that the transaction completed successfully. Also during the offer stage, I felt he was transparent and managed our expectations rightly. Danny was therefore instrumental in us being able to buy our new property, which we're absolutely delighted with! I'd recommend Atkinson McLeod as Estate Agents, specially Danny.
We went to see the property and the agent, George, was late. We liked it and he asked us to put an offer on the property ASAP, there was another viewing one hour after us. He sent us a predefined offer by email, we signed it, then we heard nothing. We emailed, called and texted the agent for a few days, there was no answer. We ran into him on the street and asked him what happened, he told us somebody else submitted an offer 10 minutes before us and our offer was not even sent to the landlord. We did not believe the story for one second, we asked him how could the people after us submit the offer before us, it was not physically possible. And why they would not send all the offers to the landlord to decide, which is common practice? Horrible service, unprofessional and shady behavior, the negative reviews here are correct, avoid this agency at all costs!
We wanted to find a bigger flat at a good price and our property search with Atkinson McLeod was smooth and quick. Harry Foster was friendly, professional and very helpful, he kept us informed during the whole process and always answered by phone and email. He has done a brilliant job to deal with from start to finish very quickly. Thanks again Harry!
I am currently with Atkinson Mcleod and there is nothing I can complain! Harry dealt with the sales procedure with me, he was extremely patient, answered all of my questions even after his working hours. when I needed to measure the flat for furniture fitting, he took me into the flat for second viewing without hesitation. All of my requirements were communicated to landlord smoothly even I changed my requirements sometimes for the last minute. Given the full schedules of his work, Harry helped me as much as he can, and everything were done on time before I move in. Their account manager Lauren is also very kind, helped me with electricity and water issues, and calls back when there is misunderstanding in communication. Highly recommend!
We agreed on a sell in January with Atkinson Mcleod. We were told that we would be in the property by May as the tenant living there would be released early. Them no reply to emails or calls for 3 weeks. Now that we have paid the searches, lawyers, mortgage advise and surveys, we have been told that all along the tenant was going to stay until July, regardless. We have been told making a complaint won't make any difference, despite we have been lied to from the beginning to convey the sell. We have been told that either we agree to wait for 3 months more to exchange until July, or we just have to tell them ASAP so they can remarket the property. No responsibility taken at all, and zero empathy with the customer. Horrible and inhuman. Lack of ethics and professionalism. I would never, ever, recommend this agency to anyone. Either Atkinson Mcleod or Foxtons. It is ok to care about money, but it is not ok to lie to people to get what you want out of them and get away with it.
Had a great experience with them. The negotiator's name who was helping me to make my decision was Manon. She was very patient and helpful in terms of negotiating and saving time and simply making the process easy and pleasant. Unfortunately, due to my own circumstances I ended up not taking the flat. So what I really appreciated was such a professional reaction, great support and zero problems with refunding my deposit. Also, the properties they have in Central East are simply amazing. Definitely coming back. Thank you Manon!

As a tenant in one of their rental properties, Ben and the whole team at Atkinson McLeod have been brilliant to deal with from start to finish. Communicative, professional, and incredibly friendly, they have dealt with everything extremely well and very quickly, meaning the whole rental process has been painless. The team at Atkinson McLeod are one of the best I've worked with. Both the sales and lettings teams are professional, efficient and extremely knowledgeable of their local market. In particular, Adam Salem from the sales team needs to be praised. When I started talking to Adam about the sale of a property he was honest, transparent and spot on with his advice and recommendations. Always respectful and never pushy, he kept me up to speed and fully aware of key updates - be it during the day, evening or weekend. And when obstacles or questions arose, I had complete confidence for them being resolved quickly and positively when Adam said he would handle it. I can't recommend Adam and Atkinson McLeod highly enough!
We had an awful experience with this company. When we moved in we were told it was professionally cleaned but it was disgusting. It took them months and repeated requests to fix anything, or they just ignored us completely. We tried to invoke change of occupancy and went through a whole process of finding someone new to take over our contract for them to then tell us the landlord was selling the place so we couldn’t do that. They then didn’t respond to our calls and emails even though our move out date was days away. They’re still sending us electricity bills 2 months after we moved out and have ignored any complaints we made. I think most of the good reviews on here have come from experiences before people move into the properties - the estate agents ask you to leave a review whilst signing up for a tenancy.
