"Experience the unusual. Crumbling paintwork, stunning stained-glass windows and ethereal dancing shadows. Asylum Chapel is a unique Grade II listed venue steeped in London history and perfect for those who want something a little bit different. Built in 1826, Asylum Chapel has played witness to London’s rich and troubled history, Asylum Chapel is now one of Peckham’s most-loved flexible spaces for weddings, events and photo and film shoots."
Beautiful. We're getting married there in a week, can't wait Edit - we had our wedding and it was absolutely perfect. It is so beautiful and it was all just completely amazing.
I finally got the chance to shoot at his beautiful venue and was SO impressed with the welcome, friendliness and all-round organisational skills of in-house team Maverick Projects. Big thumbs up! And LOTS of cool areas to shoot in. A photographer's dream!
I attended a 100 singing bowl performance in the chapel and I am very impressed with the atmosphere here. Probably not somewhere I would choose to get married BUT a place I would be very excited about attending as a wedding guest. The place had a magical and wonderful vibe. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Oh and despite appearances, the toilets were fabulous, modern and very clean!
We've photographed and filmed so many amazing weddings at The Asylum Chapel that it almost feels like we live there - and who wouldn't LOVE that??? The history, the incredible light, the epic backdrop that's unmatched in any other London venue? What's not to love? The Asylum Chapel will forever be one of our favourite venues and we count down the days until we shoot there again.
I recently photographed a wedding here after it was on my bucket list for so long and honestly, I already thought I was completely hooked before I even set foot inside. But once I did? This place literally shot to the top of my favourite wedding venues across the UK! You walk in and regardless of whether or not you've spent a fortune on styling, this place already looks insane, even without all the fancy frills. Those stained glass windows? They turn every photo into some kind of renaissance painting! Not to mention, the way the staff don't just plan your day; they sprinkle it with your vibe. Whether you're up for a wild bash or an intimate affair, they've got you! I can't wait to shoot here again!
I couldn't imagine a more perfect, beautiful setting in which to get married. My partner and I got married here last week and Lizzy and the people at Asylum were so helpful, accommodating and made us feel so at ease and relaxed on the day and the whole time dealing with them. Wonderful place and people!
I photographed a couple of weddings here and it's one of my favourite venues in London. The light is insane when it comes in from the windows. It's got such character and so much history.
We got married here 2 weeks ago and couldnt have had a more perfect day!! The venue is beautiful and allows you to add your own personal touch. The ceremony was lovely and we had some photos inside and out afterwards. Perfect!
Unique location for a wedding reception. A deconsecrated chapel which still has his historical mystery. Set away from a busy main road guests can mingle freely.
Absolutely amazing and probably one of my favourite venues in London. As London wedding photographer I've had a pleasure to photograph weddings here quite a few times and without a doubt it the best choice for couples who want to have a different and unique wedding.
