This was a massive supermarket to visit, where I bought a yummy cheese twist for a cheap price of 65p from the bakery! The store has large signs for all of the areas, including its aisles that have all of the products well-organized. I found the self-service checkout easy to use and the area as a whole pleasant, where cleanliness had been maintained.
Great store. Lots of products and the shelves are normally well stocked. It’s a 24 mile round trip by car to shop at Asda. I do it because they stock the items I’d like to buy. NO MORE THOUGH!!! They’ve now lost a customer who regularly spends £150+ a week because of their chaotic checkout system. Plenty of staff, but only 2 on the tills!! There were more staff helping on the self checkout due to problems . Utterly ridiculous. So many people waiting to pay for their shopping but unable to do so…..never again!
Shocking, 35pp more on every single product. In total you will spend 20-30 pound more every week. The salary has not been incresead . Low choice, to reduce their wastage, obbligate the people to buy what they have, no goat cheese, no cheap juice, no cheap cat litter it start from 5.00 mad ! , no sparkling water. Aldi better choice. If Asda think to obbligate the people to buy only whar they have to reduce the wastage, also the people have better choice to go the others supermarkets.
Poor value cafe despite the kids eat for a pound deal. Menus very sparse, infact we had to practically barge in to the front of the till queue to see the menu! Kids deal advertised as hot and cold choices but I could only find the cold choices, which was OK.... daughter chose the ham sandwich which was "delightfully" served in half a cardboard takeaway box! We then waited 30 minutes for my sons cheeseburger and chips that came with precisely 11 chips! By the time that came daughter had long since eaten hers and I was wondering why we bothered. Personally.... I advise avoiding
Asked for some help to use the new Asda rewards app, the girl assisting on self checkout said she didn’t know how it worked and then wandered off. She didn’t care either evidently. There are a couple of really nice staff on a lady around 60 with long dark hair and another one in her 30’s with reddish hair ..really chatty But mostly the rest are miserable and unhelpful. And the ‘customer service’ desk is the worst ever! I’ve never seen one of them smile yet.
I turned up in my Fiat 500 Twinair leather seat edition and I saw metal barriers over the entrance and thought, “Well this is a 24hr store, it must be open”, so I climbed back in the whip and proceeded to ram the entrance to get in as there was clearly a blockage. I am now in prison, thanks for nothing Asda you bunch of Snakes. Tesco fan btw
Visited your store it was freezing making it an unpleasant shopping experience, I also used your toilets which were dirty smelly, no hot water and cold hand dryers, will not be returning soon
***************BEWARE******************* Utter disgrace a complete failure in customer service and duty of care. Self service checkout glitched while purchasing goods payment went through but because screen froze was told I couldn’t take them. Refund in 2 working days.Good job it wasn’t our only source of funds otherwise it would have been a tin of mushy peas on toast to last us all weekend. Surely there’s a system in 2022 were payment can be traced effectively to Asda so the shopper can leave as intended immediately with the goods paid for as I always thought was the point of shopping or is that being optimistic?
Bad enough there are only automated tills available but to be watched by 3 staff as the till fails to work repeatedly, tiresome, shan’t return until normal check out service resumes.
Fine if you like till queues or self check out. Depends on the time you visit.
