We had an exceptional meal here on Thursday - fine dining quality in a historic old Masonic lodge but at reasonable prices and with friendly service. Every course had stand-out elements and the menu gave lots of options from vegan to meat and fish - all beautifully presented and tasty. Starters were very nice and just the right size. Mains were very good and the dessert was fantastic. Staff were attentive but not pestering, service was pretty quick but not rushed.

Great food and drinks, great service. Butcher and Tonic is now our favourite place to eat in Lancaster. Eaten here a couple of times, but the last meal was for 15 of us on a Sunday evening. Everyone's food all came at the same time, perfectly presented and tasting amazing.

My Mum and I went to The Butcher and Tonic to have afternoon tea. We really enjoyed the food, a unique combination of savoury options, rather than standard cheese and salmon sandwiches etc., one of the sandwiches was soup in a bun which was amazing! There was a good selection of cakes and a good selection of tea! Overall great afternoon and service and I would highly recommend. Thank you!

Had a meal here for the first time last night and it was gorgeous. Fantastic service from the staff who were very friendly and helpful. The best steak I have ever had and the onion rings were perfect. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

We had a lovely meal there. I cannot fault the quality of the food. We had 2 t-bone steaks, mushroom bourguignon and corn fed chicken. The only downside was my portion of chicken. It was extremely disappointing - more like a budgie! Other than that it was very pleasant. The staff were also very nice.
