Ashamed to confess that I need to pay a visit to The Radish once a week. It's not my fault: the crumbly pastry of their tartelettes, the smooth flat whites, the juicy toasted spinach, tomatoes and halloumi ciabatta sandwiches. I am only human after all I believe this place caters mainly for vegans and vegetarians with other delicate tummies in between but when I am there, my carnivore self doesn't even miss meat. Yep, that's how good it is. Eating your five portions of greens has never tasted better
I popped in here for an early lunch after a meeting and it's one of the best lunches I've had in a long time! Their salads, soups, tarts and toasties are always tasty but this sourdough filled with halloumi, mushroom and sweet potato was incredible. Served with a friendly smile as always.
Best toasties in town! They've got a fantastic veggie range, vegan range, and their cakes are incredible - must visit!
Radish have catered for two groups in Lancaster that I have been part of and other groups that I have heard of. The food is delicious. Today we had plentiful spicy lentil and sweet potato soup with gorgeous bread and 3 mouth watering types of cake. They are business like and friendly and very easy to work with when you are trying to cater for any event. In the cafe they are also very friendly and have a wide variety of hot and cold food to choose from. Thank you Radish.
If 'salad' makes you think of a bit of limp lettuce and half a tomato, think again. A salad box from the Radish has probably upwards of 50 ingredients, and all of them delicious. I can't get enough of them. Never was much of a salad person before, but I am actually addicted to these. Just wish the place was open later than 4pm so I could get them more often! There's also other food, plus a good range of hot and cold drinks including herbal teas. It's not exclusively vegetarian there's some great smoked salmon, but the majority of the menu is veggie, with plenty of vegan options, as well as gluten free etc. Can get a bit crowded at lunchtime, but everything on the menu can be made to take away which is cheaper too. Fast service, friendly staff. Far and away my favorite place for lunch in Lancaster.
Lovely healthy fresh food, and quick pleasant service. Loads of gluten-free and vegan options. Takeaway or eat in although the seating space is limited. Wheelchair accessible but not a lot of room to move around in.
Do not come here. The staff have awful attitude towards the customers. They are annoyed to work there and serve people. I asked today to buy two things, hummus and tortilla, and the woman refused because in her mind those things do not mix together. I cannot emphasize how bad the service is here. I have tried now twice and I give up. The food is also very mediocre. No hot food available. All cold salads. They don't have bread or pitta for the hummus. This is small minded people who don't understand how to run a successful place. Avoid!
Absolutely fabulous healthy take away food. The salads and the halloumi burgers are to die for. Will definitely be looking forward to returning when you re open.
I love the Radish! I often pop in for my lunch and the food is fresh and different from almost anything else you can get in town. Good quality ingredients and lots of variety.
Gorgeous vegetarian food. Great value. Fresh. Clean but small premises. Friendly helpful staff. Recommend.
