I was distraught and disappointed when i was abruptly told i could not buy a rice-cooker in store and shooed away abruptly by a discourteous staff member, i felt like a pigeon. Don’t waste my time, so bad-mannered of this middle-aged woman to speak to others in this untactful tone. If this is the new ASDA service standard, please advise the people. Otherwise, ASDA must do something about this branch. It has been nothing but appalling towards someone who is a non-local and unfamiliar with what ASDA and ASDA Grimsby Supercentre offer to customers."},{"text":"This is a review for the in-store Asda cafe only... On a recent trip to Asda, Grimsby we decided rather than grabbing their takeout sandwich meal deal, we'd try their cafe. Bad idea, we should've stuck with the sandwich, which funny enough you couldn't buy in their cafe, which bearing in mind it was only 1pm, lunchtime, not 3 or 4 in the afternoon, seems quite ridiculous. In fact they had very little of anything, a choice of 2 sorry looking sub rolls for £4.50, 1 toasted sandwich or about 6 hot food options, and the man said that was it, they couldn't make one. The menu is not only very basic, but hardly any choice, which considering it's inside a supermarket with everything to hand is really quite pathetic. So, with no sandwiches on offer, and not much else to choose from, we ordered 2 cheeseburgers & chips, a tea and Americano coffee. Not many of the tables had been cleaned, but found one, had our drinks, and waited for the food to arrive. The drinks were OK, and eventually we did see a lady going around clearing the tables, but not really cleaning them. The food arrived in a lidded plate, had it just been microwaved? Don't know, the chips were OK, and the actual burger patty was quite nice, but it was a very sorry, and basic burger in a horrible tasting small regular roll, not a burger roll. Literally just a burger in a roll with a cheese slice, that's it, no salad, even as a garnish Considering it was a £5.90 £15 total, you could get something much better than this almost anywhere for the same price or less, probably even McD's. A huge disappointment, I've still given 2 stars, because the cafe area looked quite nice, and was fairly clean & tidy overall, and the service was OK. I've been to Asda cafe's in the past and they've been way better than this, with a lot more choice, but if they're all like this now, then I won't use them again, I'll stick to Morrison's, whose supermarket cafe's are very good, much better choice, food and presentation. As for the Asda store itself, it's great, plenty of choice, including clothing & homewards. Next time I visit Asda, I'll just get a pre-packed sandwich if it's lunchtime. Come on Asda, you can do better than this."},{"text":"Love Asda, great staff, always go the extra mile to help, loads of choice and prices are not too bad either"},{"text":"Second time I've been here and I'm always happy with the selection they have here!"},{"text":"Don't try to ring them 1 you can't get throw the automated service just tells you things like go online go visit your store that's alright unless you physically can't use the internet or you can't visit your store and after generally need help this is why I use Tesco's at least you can get through to a person Edit ..... As no reply button I did ring the customer number and given alot of waffle about going online or visiting your store and then the phone call was cut nobody even answered because it didn't connect"}]

Superb.. Plus decent breakfast.. Oh no wait a min.. I was 5 mins late for breakfast And really only needed breakfast Alas refused.. I thought of begging didn't but Did try to explain my need.. Not listened to not interested. Rules are Rules... Apparently.. Oh dear.. Never Again..
I went to Asda today to use the cash machine the 1st one on the left by the entrance/exit with the intent to withdraw £10. The machine wouldn’t allow me to withdraw that amount, or £20, £30 until I reached £40. The machine also wouldn’t allow me to remove my card until I entered a number which I could withdraw so my card was trapped inside the ATM. It’s lucky I had £50 in my account to allow me to actually make the £40 withdrawal. Won’t be using the cash machines at Asda again and I know it’s not my cards fault because I used it in town 20 minutes later and everything was fine. Nobody else seemed to have a problem with the other machine so perhaps the one I used was just dodgy.
I only ever come in to buy clothes for my little boy so can’t really comment on the rest of the store but the clothes section for kids is fantastic and usually well organised.nnI’ve only ever had pleasant experiences with staff.
Really disappointed today. Bought several items of clothing, sale items and full price. When we went to check out it turned into a drama when the reduced trousers pinged up as ladies blouse. Drippy till assistant calls for back up, back up calls for manager who tells me I can't have them insinuating we'd swapped reduced tickets. Then to top it all alarms go off alerting Gestapo security who demands receipt honestly it was too much then when Hubby lost it threatened us with being barred from the shop. No problem, we won't be returning anyway. They need to sort their George tags out as on our receipt the other trousers also came up as ladies blouse , yet I was allowed those ones !!
Pretty good prices I've been getting the pack of two pork loin steaks and it's dropped to 2.50, bargain. Enjoying the Asda rewards app but annoyed that they didn't add on the reward credit for a star product I bought
