Coming from USA I first looked into the National chains but decided to look at Arnold Clark out of Perth, Scotland. So glad I did! No scare tactics to purchase expensive insurance like we got from the competitor down the street. The Arnold Clark rep briefed me in some of the Scotland road rules and speed cameras. I rented the car for almost a month; the price was very reasonable, they only charge 50 pounds for a different drop location with a few days notice, extensions would have been no problem, they covered the basic insurance and as a member of NC500 I received a nice discount. Loved the Nissan Qashqui! It had very low mileage, in great condition, got excellent gas mileage - 53 mpg was my highest, and it was a pleasure to drive. After around 2600 miles later touring all of Scotland we returned the car in Ayr with Clare, who was very helpful and a pleasure to work with, the turn in was easy and we couldn’t be happier. I only wish they would expand their business to Ireland our next stop. I would definitely rent from them again! AAA+++

We hire from Arnold Clark in Prestwick Scotland every year when we come over from Australia to visit family. Over the last 4 years we have rented different vehicles of size. The staff are always friendly and the service is smooth. The vehicles are in good condition and we have not had any issues.nI can highly recommend Arnold Clark as a car rental provider and look forward to our next trip. Thanks.
As a first time user of renting a car from Arnold Clark in Ayr, it was easy to use. I have to thank Clare from the Ayr branch for helping out, she made sure everything with the car was in good condition and did the honour of defrosting the car and putting the heating on. That is fantastic customer service. I will certainly use the rental service again when I need it.
