The staff are useless and slow. They also lack common sense and aren’t very helpful. They’d rather take the long way just to be jobsworthy, than be quick, helpful and efficient. They’ll tell you “we want to go home” well, I want to collect my products quickly and go home too but you’re the ones making this longer than it should be! I didn’t like the service, but they seem to be better stocked than other Argos’ in the area so I’ll probably end up going there again
I ordered and collected a gaming keyboard, mouse and headset combo deal from Argos Friday 3pm 11/10/2022. Naturally, I got home and set it up so that I could test it and feel if it works for me. After a few minutes, the initially comfy headset felt uncomfortable and the sound quality was lacking. The mouse didn't feel as comfortable as I'd have liked, and the keyboard was poor quality and also didn't physically fit well with my setup. I chatted with an Argos customer service agent online to confirm that I could return the order for a refund so that I wouldn't waste my time taking it back to the store, only to be denied. They told me I could do this - I have the transcript. I took it back on Saturday 12/11/22 - less than 24 hours after collection - and was told that I couldn't return it because it's been opened.... HOW can I be expected to know if I want to keep the products if I'm not given an opportunity to unbox them and test them first??!? ALSO: I knew they were going to unpack everything themselves in order to check for any damage, so I didn't bother to 100% properly repack everything. I personally would never expect the customer to be able to repack tech products exactly as they were when opened. I expected they would have staff to ensure that items are properly repacked before they're back on the shelf for reselling. The manager at this Argos branch told me that 'it's not their job to repack the products' So now I have been refused my refund. I'm disgusted at these completely illogical policies and at the way the manager handled it. I intend to pursue this further until I get my refund. Argos will never see my business again.
I had come with product to return as its only open I checked there is no feature. This is the product I bought and they are not accepting staff are very rude. Supervisor Jimmy so rude in behavior don't know to give customer service. Ignoring when customer infront of them very poor service. I had only open this box once and I culdnt find any feature in it but staff is refusing to take I have receipt. If ull don't taken action I'll take it
My daughter attends University in the UK and attended the store in Staple Corner to purchase a new phone. She is on a very tight budget with no money to waist. However the phone was a necessity due to old phone being damaged. She purchased a new IPhone 13 there and opened it right at the counter to check that it works. I did not work! She then told the lady who was standing right in front of her for a refund and the lady told her no, “they have a no refund policy.” Yet there website clearly states they have a refund policy with conditions. Again this phone was opened and checked at the counter and the female refused to refund her. This is unacceptable. My daughter is now out of college money over 750 GBP and a phone that does not work. To put the icing on the cake the lady sent my daughter away and told her SHE NEED TO GET IT FIXED with Apple Company. By her own admission she’s say my daughter needs to get it fixed meaning the phone she just sold her is not working. This is the worse and most dishonest service I have ever experience in my 50 years and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
Great team, the cleanest Argos known to mankind. A special shout out to Fatma for all the help she gave me choosing the right product. I was impressed with her knowledge in different product sectors. Amazing!
Honeslty saying the best place to buy anything and everything. Manager named Geoff, is an excellent personality who will make your shopping easy and smooth. A must visit place for all a to z products.
Really Bad customer service. Some staff don’t even have the knowledge of their process of refund & exchange. They sent me to Alperton store for collection of some item with a gift card, but that store said they can’t process the order bcoz the gift card was of other amount bcoz of staff discount difference. After going back to Wembley store the other colleague says something else. Wasted more than an hour of ours. And no proper apology. All they said was nothing that I can do here. So disappointed. I request Argos to train all your staff with proper knowledge, so that the customers time is not wasted.
Local store, absolutely amazing however, Nisha who took my return was rude and not understanding which is unfortunate as the manager was the complete opposite and processed my refund swiftly. Not sure why some people sweat for their dead end jobs but I hope the next visit isn’t as miserable.
