Click and collect was so easy, unfortunately that's where the good ended. Purchased a gift for Christmas sadly it was no good for my partner, took it back to the store was told could not return it because it had been opened, how can you see if it's right if you are unable to open things . Not very helpful will not be shopping there again
0 Stars. I went here last night to pick something up from an online click and collect order the girl behind the desk was more interested in eating her tea. reviewed 6pm 7.2.23
Great staff , efficient , fast , friendly and items are competitively priced.
We came into the store to look wedding rings and we were greeted by a wonderful lady called Dee. She was so helpful and gave us such an amazing experience. She measured our ring size after so many jewellery shops wouldn’t do it for us in Chester. Thank you for being awesome
I’d give them zero stars if this was an option. I went in and was the only customer there. 6 staff stood behind the counter chatting. Not one made eye contact or said hello or can I help. I went to the order pads myself in the end. I paid and went right up to the counter. Again not one member of staff looked at me or acknowledged my presence. The item came down the conveyor belt and no one moved to get it. Eventually one of them did. They came to the counter, no greeting or eye contact or smile. Shocking rudeness and apathy. There are plenty of people out there needing a job. This lot were like the walking dead but with less charm.
Absolutely shocking customer service! One staff member was very abrupt and rude. Unable to see her name badge but she must have been in her late 60s, short darkish hair and glasses...She looks like a typical "jobsworth". Don't get me wrong I love the elderly but this lady was definitely chewing a wasp! I then asked to speak to a manager Clive who then came out after a few minutes. The staff member was obviously informing him about my complaint. For him to then say "there's two issues here". There was no "how can I help you today" or any other professional greeting. He was abrupt also from the start. I asked to take the matter further and asked for an email address which he then returns with a phone number. I asked for an email again but he said he hasn't got that information. He then informed me that I might get an address via Argos.com etc but as a manager he doesn't have that information??? Very unprofessional and extremely rude. This matter will be taken further!
it cannot be returned. i just bought the computer two and half hours. i found the computer cannot meet our needs. i want to change another one but they refused, the reason is not in the resale condition, second reason, they said there is nothing is wrong when they check, even got problem, i need to call the manufacuer and not refund. i think 30 days refund policy just a joke, a absolutely joke. so this is my last time shopping in agos, which is not the same before. the customer service in seland road is teribble.
Pretty annoyed right now, went in to pick up a PS4, the girl was lovely but told me there was a “opened” sticker on it just because the tape had been removed, maybe that’s what she was told but that wasn’t the case it had already been opened and used and was still logged in to somebody else’s account! I had to call customer services and drive to a different Argos for a replacement, and the only person who’s given me any sort of apology was the woman giving me the new one! If it was used and Brought back then it should have priced as such or sent back or whatever, not re sold to me at full price as a “new product” when it’s clearly used!! I could have bought a used one for £100 less if that’s what I wanted. And now I’ve had to make two trips which could have just been one trip in the first place, really gutted and expected better.
Argos saved my bacon on several occasions and its Chester Greyhound Park store is always brilliant. Only a few months ago I desperately needed a car battery car to help a friend. It was the usual last minute 'emergency' and I found exactly what I needed from Argos. I ordered around 6pm that particular day for delivery . . . and it was delivered within the hour! Extraordinary service. Early this evening I smashed accidentally! my one and only dinner plate Pyrex that I have used for many, many years. Yes, entertaining friends for dinner is most difficult!. Panic stations around 6.15pm. Where was I going to obtain a dinner plate for tonight without bothering kind neighbours? Argos, of course! I ordered on-line for collection, and when I arrived at the store, just a few minutes later, a very helpful lady, Alex, at the door greeted me and within seconds my replacements that were waiting for me, were in my hands. A truly excellent service at this Chester store. And for very fast deliveries too - but not of course at this time on a Saturday. Thank you very much Argos for being there for me yet again and especially to Alex at the door!! Absolutely brilliant. Thank you! I give used
Ordered a Gaming Monitor on line and went to collect it, no problems until I asked for a Gift Receipt as it is for a Christmas present. Girl on door said they weren't doing them under the current circumstances, and you had to use your email receipt, or contact Argos Helpline and ask for one. I used the "Contact Us " helpline on line and after a 20 minute wait finally got a "Chat" with Darren, I explained the problem by text and Darren left the conversation without replying. Tried again this time after only 14 minutes waiting for a response started a chat with Poppy, she was helpful but explained I should have got a gift receipt from the store when I requested one. She gave me a number to ring and I was told I was in a queue and I was important to them. After 25 minutes I gave up as I couldn't stand the endless tape repeats and messages saying I was important to them. Pleased with my purchase, but wouldn't recommend shopping online under the current conditions unless the staff get an understanding of what they should do when you call to collect.
