Review for restaurant only as we have not stayed in the rooms. Came in with a party of 6, without a reservation, in August, and they were incredibly gracious finding us a table and getting our dinner order in before a few large parties with reservations came in. Excellent service. Very nice food and drinks too, our whole party was very happy.
A very good place to go for a meal and a drink. It is close to the centre and has excellent quality food and an amazing choice of whiskies. Whisky lovers will love this place. The food is of a good quality and the service is excellent.
Had lunch here. Very polite young waitress in training. Expensive but that’s hotel prices for you. £48 for 2 battered Haddock peas and chips and 2 glasses of Pinot. Fish and chip shop next timeoh unfortunately the fish n chip shop was shutend of season apparently
We went to the bar and had a great experience. It’s fresh and attractive with hundreds of single malts. Friendly service and a great opportunity to try many fine whiskies.
Our camping trip was disrupted by Storm Floris. Phoning around for a place to stay that would accommodate a dog at short notice was proving difficult. The proprietor of the Ardshiel went out of her way to help us. We had a lovely relaxed visit there. Lovely welcome. Treated like we were part of a family. Think they fell in love with young Ziggy labrador.nAs someone who enjoys a whisky this hotel has a world renowned whisky bar. Would thoroughly recommend a visit just for that. You will be spoilt for choice.nThis turned out to be an unexpected/unplanned part of our trip and if we could have afforded it I think we'd have spent a lot longer here.
