Relaxing, easygoing staff, food was good the Cullen skink was popular and the haggis nachos was also really good according to my hubby. The veggie gravy to go with the sausages, peas and chips were not great but I’m not really not a huge fan of gravy but it had a lot of corn starch in it! None of us could fit in dessert. But all in all - it’s a great place for a meal with friends as you can kick back and catch up properly.
The food here was okay, nothing special I would say, but good. I had the haggis and nachos. Others I was with said their meal okay to good. We were a large group and the wait was long but the staff was accommodating and friendly.
Recommended by the bar staff at the Black Sheep bar next door and part of the same hotel this was our Saturday night dinner spot. Great choice! Proper 'pokey hat' pint of Tennants and a large Cabernet for drinks, cool. Calamari to start, crispy, delicious and a great bite, not chewy. Pan fried Cod and pea risotto for main, this was totally on note. Dianne had Steak Pie. This was as rich, tasty and satisfying as you would wish it to be. Great job folks. Bravo .
Excellent service and very good food. Visited here with my family on 26/07/25 and we're immediately made to feel welcome and despite a large number of us the staff instantly sorted out a table large enough to accommodate us all, the food was brilliant and the staff in my opinion went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy. Brilliant atmosphere and surroundings and it made a great weekend that bit more special. Highly recommend a visit if your in the area I will definitely be visiting again when I in the area again
We booked the day before, a table for two and were aware then they were busy. It was quite noisy but by 8.30pm a lot of the tables had gone. Food was great, larger size portions. Service also good considering how busy they were.
