Great friendly place .. lovely roast dinner and dogs welcome..the only reason We would return to Newcastle..no where else for dogs ..if you want to eat ..so 10 out of 10..
What a fantastic bar! Right on the sea front in Newcastle. Got an amazing meal, stake sandwich. Me and my dog loved it. Staff friendly and very helpful. Would defo go back again if I’m passing through or fancy a beer.
My neighbour and I had a couple of days in Newcastle last week. I had my elderly dog with me so needed to find somewhere to eat where she was welcome well we certainly found the right place. Pub that was voted the 'Dog Pub of the Year'. We weren't very hungry so didn't have a big meal but what we had was great. Our second was spent there too and this time we had delicious vegetable soup with wheaten bread. We then had apple crumble and custard the best I have ever tasted.nThe staff were so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was great in this old building. We will be back.
Went with a friend who told me she had been here before in the past,nd enjoyed it,although quite some time ago.nObviously has went down hill rapidly.nThe food was terrible. I got a burger and chips. The burger was cold. Also got a large lump of tinfoil inside the burger. My friend ate very little of hers but didn't want to complain and was quite embarrassed at just how bad it was.nLarge party of travellers were in being extremely loud and rude, pretty much took over the entire bar.nStaff weren't at all helpful.
Great food, atmosphere and staff. My dog loves to go in after her walk.
