Went in her On a Saturday afternoon for a few beers and an evening meal with our Son D in law and two young grandkids 4&5 and a well behaved collie we sat in the main bar it was lovely and quiet nice ambient music so you could chat then to be ushered out after half an hour stating that we have kids we have to sit in the kids room Jesus Christ it was like a cheap Eastern European nightclub smelt like a sweaty soft play area with Barbie girl belting out louder than an AC/DC concert we then decided to go outside and order food Yes we still decided to stay three main meals and two children’s ordered with a round of drinks coming in at over £70 my son decided he didn’t like the menu so would have some fish and chips from over the road best decision he’s ever made food came the portion size was paltry the main meals not being much bigger than the children’s just more chips very pale and beige mentioned this to the server to be met with a vacant look he then turned and left!! we ate what we paid for and left ourselves my son enjoyed his meal and reminded us how he had made the best choice hard to argue really safe to say we won’t visit again!!
I came for a carvery on Sunday with my partner and daughter, my Daughter is a vegetarian and they offered her several choices and made her gravy separate. No stress no fuss. The plate of food was enormous, the beef was absolutely perfect, I cannot stress how wonderful the staff were. Absolutely fantastic, I highly recommend it
My wife and I visited here with the intention of having a few beers and a meal, we left after 1 drink. My wife ordered the beers and tried to pay with Scottish money but unfortunately they don't accept it. She should have left the beers sitting but felt obliged to pay by alternative means. I certainly was not eating here. I would advise my fellow Scot's to give this place a miss the Anchor Pub fairly close sells pints at £2 plus less and welcomes Scottish money as does every other establishment we visited in the area.
Very hard to be positive as there was only 1 person in there. He was a extremely friendly 80 year old gentleman. Unlike the staff at best was inept. Customer service must not be high on their priority. I went to 3 other bars/ pubs in Ingoldmells this night. All had at least 20 to 30 in before 7.00. Says it all really. The venue had nice decor prices ok.
Family room wasn't bad at all. Very hard to sleep in a room with two kids but the actual room was good. Shame there is a big light in the middle of the ceiling which has a green light on it when it's off. This kept us away for alot of the night.Rooms: 4/5
Great hotel. Had a great stay. Family room was clean, smart and spacious. Pub had decent food at reasonable prices. Was great for the kids. Will definitely stay again!Rooms: 4/5
Went in for tea on Friday teatime just as we arrived. Ordered food and staff pointed out their daily offer. 1 pint and fish and chips for £10. Can't go wrong. Large car park too and also pet friendly.Location: 5/5
The whole building seems to have had a recent refurbishment, and it's kept nice, clean and tidy. The reception staff and cleaners were very friendly. In the room, although the bed was comfortable, there was several problems. No drawers to put anything like underwear. We had to leave everything out on the spare bed. Plug in the sink didn't work so wasted a lot of water having to keep the water running to wash and shave because we couldn't fill it up. But the thing that bothered us the most was the heating. There wasn't any. And it was cold.
Had a lovley 3 night stay here, staff are really good. Food is your normal pub grub standard, but i must say that breakfast is really good and not a bad price compared to places near by. All in all if i come to Ingoldmells again this will be my first choice, a really pleasant place.
