My breakfast wasn't 5 starts. The prices are honest, the staff welcoming, the portions incredibly huge and the avocado toast amazing even if a thinner toast would be better. However, the coffe wasn't good as it comes with an automatic machine. The pancakes were not puffy and not particularly tasty.
This place was so great we ended up there twice in two days. The service so friendly and the food equally amazing. We had the smallish breakfast which was huge and the avocado and toast - the toast was a dream. Perfectly sliced to a thickness that allows the butter to sink in for the perfect bite every time
A Gem of a place.. very polite and attentive staff.. went with my girlfriend for breakfast the English breakfast is by far the best in Eastbourne very generous portions and thick cut toast.. my girlfriend is vegan and her breakfast was brilliant also.. definitely the place to go in Eastbourne for delicious home cooked food! Actually this is the best breakfast I've had since I left Ireland 11 years ago!
Simply excellent all day vegetarian breakfast with the nicest fried potatoes I think I've ever had. The young man who served us was polite and friendly.
We walked there on the New Year's day. Almost stopped and ate at the other cafe because it was raining and horrible and our umbrella flipped up a couple times on the way there. But were so glad we went there eventually. It was a local shop with warm and welcoming service. I had Smaller Breakfast, my boyfriend had Avocado on Toast and we shared Pancakes with Maple Syrup and Mint ice cream on top. My breakfast looked like regular English breakfast but I noticed that each components on there were neatly cooked with care. It was like it was made at home for someone you loved. The avocado on toast was delicious. The toast was crispy and the avocado was nutty and flavorful but my beau said it was a bit spicy because of the sprinkle of chili flakes. But the pancakes, the highlight of out breakfast, were gorgeous. Each cake was in a lovely size with crispy edge and soft middle. It was not doughy or soggy or dried at all. The flavor was just spot on. We felt loved and warm even after we just walked in from the cold, horrible rain. So we ordered a second plate of pancakes to answer our gluttony. Walked twenty minutes in the cold rain to have four gorgeous dishes with two hot drinks for 22.80£. Very well worth it!! - Neatly Cooked Food - Amazing Flavour - Warm and Welcoming Service
Really tasty fresh avocado on toast. Amazingly cheap and extremely generous portions! - I reckon they could serve half the size for the same price or more and still have happy customers Great vegan options and decent coffee and delicious local bread/ bacon/ free range eggs. Could be cosier but staff are friendly and it’s clean and bright.
The food itself was excellent, we had avocado on toast and pancakes. However, the wait for the food was quite long and the cappuccinos were prepared much earlier, which meant they were cold when the food arrived. However, I'd recommend it for breakfast!
Great food - probably the best cooked breakfast in Eastbourne. Would get 5 stars, except the place is NEVER OPEN. Don't bother checking the website before heading over there either, because it isn't updated. Says "open now", but when you get there, you'll find it closed as I did. Twice. Particularly disappointing, because the food really is fantastic... I'm now an example of 'lost repeat business', since I won't waste my time in future.
Visited for a day trip to Eastbourne. This place has amazing service and just as great food. Got pancakes with everything on them for me and the kids. Was really delicious. The tea and coffee and good but the pancakes are worth the trip alone.
Fantastic food for meaties or vegans alike. Great coffee too. The service always with a smile. Couldn't recommend higher. Best breakfast in town.
