Child friendly and grown up friendly too, both the actual museum and gardens are well worth visiting. Volunteers I spoke to were super friendly. Just a shame that it's quite expensive.

Really interesting and informative. The volunteer guides throughout the museum are very knowledgeable and friendly. The grounds are stunning. A great afternoon out.

A good afternoon out and interesting collection especially the early years of the settlers. Only disappointment was price and presentation of food in the cafe. £5 for a jacket potato with a handful of grated cheese on top - no side salad, coleslaw or anything. £5.75 for jacket potato with hot filling. Good collection of 1920's clothing too.

A decent museum, with some interesting artefacts and friendly staff. The house is beautiful, the gardens lovely for a stroll, and the setting is stunning. But the museum is looking a little tired, and it's not very good at introducing itself (ie, Why does it exist? Why in Bath? There are actually interesting answers, but it would be nice to have the story better presented at the outset to set the rest of the visit in context).
