Using my partners account as I do not have one but need to get the word out about this absolutely disgraceful taxi rank and the service they offer. Ladies please avoid at all costs. Pre booked a taxi last night to be left standing alone and told they are not coming for at least an hour as have no cars in area. I explained I pre booked the night before and was waiting on the side of the A5 with my disabled step son. The man from Alpha was so rude and arrogant showed no understanding whatsoever and quite clearly didn’t care at all. He upset me with what he said and I was left in tears. Left to catch 3 buses home with my Son. Cannot believe the service they give to their customers. They quite clearly want the business that only suits them. Please avoid to prevent other women being treated the same.
Alpha cars were the only taxi firm that agreed to pick me up from m6 Hilton services back to my car broken down on the motorway at 1.30am long story. I must have tried at least 12 companies who either didn't answer, hung up on me or refused to accept the trip. Ali who picked me up was so helpful and patient especially when I realised I hadn't got any cash for the fare! It was all sorted and I'm very grateful to him. Thank you again.
Been using these for a while now but after today won't be using again booked a taxi it came 15 minutes early just as I got to door he said I'm going I called I said u are 15 minutes early I had my habds full so couldn't answer so he said book another taxi call the base to complain well he's self employee its OK notice not I've got to get to the school I was there if u come early u should wait late for school now
Last time I used this firm I think the person in charge of the taxi .....driver is too good of a word.....thought he was on the wacky races. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and booked again on the app as when you phone up, it says that's priority bookings. Taxi was late and as I had somewhere to be by a certain time, I phoned enquiring about why have priority bookings and still be late.....then would be late by a further 10-15 minutes because they were busy. What's the point in using your app as a priority booking when you still end up at the back of the queue.
I used to use this taxi company all the time, before their 50% price rise during "peak times". I understand peak times being during school runs and morning 8-9 rush hr. However, Alpha's peak times are 6-9am then again 2-6pm and again 9pm-3am according to the lady on the phone. Very odd. When i queried the 2am being a peak time she replied "it is actually very busy at 2am" .. never heard such nonsense. I don't use them anymore which is a shame as i prefer to support local businesses over big firms but they're using the petrol problem as an excuse to extort money from their customers... even the drivers don't understand what they're doing.
Used to be good but for the last 6 months they physically can't get a taxi out to you on time! I use these taxis more than twice a week and it's gone down hill and now I'm stopping using because they always make me late!
Excellent service. Reasonably priced and get there when they say they will. After years of using 247, Alpha Cars is now my go to for a taxi.
Very disappointed. They have taken us to the middle of a housing estate rather than hospital due to satnav issues. Only time I personally used them but my mom used them regularly and gave them more chances than I would have. Was left waiting 35 minutes after the booked time at night and this was the final straw. When it was Eagle the service was great. Won’t be using them again.
Cant believe that this taxi firm has such a low rating! They deserve 5 stars. Every time I've used them, they've been quicker than go cars & 247, there cheaper and always have more drivers working day & note hence the review & rating. Credit wheres it's due.
