Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon whilst cycling C2C. The staff were really friendly and hospitable & brought around bar snacks (sausage in Yorkshire pudding & spring rolls etc) which was very generous considering we only bought teas and coffees.

Dropped in by chance on a Sunday afternoon. Great place and very welcoming.

Stopped here for a pint on a walk over the moors. Friendly, with a comfortable bar with a open fire ( which was going in July!). Small selection of real ales. Nothing really stood out as exceptional though.
