Stayed for 3 nights with 2 young children. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Staff were extremely welcoming serving delicious food. Warm friendly environment. Would highly recommend.

A great local pub giving an authentic experience of a North Pennines village pub.

Excellent pub and accommodation.  Stayed here quite a few times when cycling infant we cycle from Sunderland to Nenthead just for a night out in the pub.  The Food is top notch and the staff are brilliant. 
The locals in the pub are very sociable. 
Ps Try the steak and ale pie.

Very quiet County pub. Doesn't look like much from the outside and often doesn't look open, however when you step inside it is a warm cosy village pub. Lovely deco, Nice large stove, excellent facilities, including darts, pool, meals etc. Nice place for a quiet drink while out and about in the area
