Received a Very rude letter which was notice for payment of ground rent which is actually not due until feb 2023. The letter is the first I have received yet is written like a final warning. It also  warns of “no alternative but legal action if not paid by 030223 “ at the same time asking for payment to be paid by return of letter . Never received anything like this , very rude. The payment will be made not on return but on due date of 3 feb

I live in an apartment where I have to pay ground rent, i received a letter at the end of January stating I had to pay £35 for the year which was due the second week in February, the letter I received I found very offensive threatening me with in house solicitors and court if I didn't pay it on receipt of the letter. I paid my ground rent in good time as always and think this letter was totally out of order and could have been worded much better, If i was in arrears i would have understood it but this was not the case,  having said that I have spoken to the lady in the office about another matter and she was very polite and helpful

I don't blame the 'front line' people, who are often apologetic for the rudeness and lack of respect shown by the company behind the scenes, but like others, I find the threatening nature of the letters  - in my case telling me I had been repeatedly chased for payment on the very first letter they sent, unprofessional.

Avoid like the plague.
