If you haven't tried it yet - JUST DO IT! I first joined a class at Akram in 2014...almost 4 years later, I'm still practicing there and have signed up to the Teacher Training course. The studio itself is impeccably clean, well set out and equipped, and all the staff are lovely.  It's extremely reasonably priced and there is a real range of classes, with styles to suit everyone, and beginners welcome to all. The teachers are all enthusiastic and passionate about what they're doing, and you really get a sense that they care about you improving and progressing in your practice. I had thought about doing the teacher training for a couple of years, but didn't have the confidence...but it was the teachers at Akram that encouraged me and gave me confidence in my ability. I have made friends both in class and with the teachers, which is just another reason to show up to class each week. I had never tried hot yoga before I came to Akram, and now I would never go back. I just wish I didn't have to go to work, so I could go to more classes! :)

The venue is clean, inviting, warming (pardon the pun), with a nice aroma and mood lighting, this enables you to get into the mediation side of Yoga easier while finding yourself spending less time being self-conscious.

As I have never done yoga before and am (gentleman size) I opted for the 6 week beginners class. I got to experience both Zahir and Christine as instructors, both incredibly knowledgeable welcoming and passionate. 
After the 6 weeks was up I was not quite confident enough to go in to the main hot yoga class (wanted to nail my poses a bit better) and was able to join the next beginners 6 week class.

I have found that my flexibility and core strength has improved massively and I couldn’t recommend Akram Yoga enough. Its for all ages, shapes and sizes I am living proof …….Enjoy.

I keep coming back to Akram Hot Yoga because I just love it here!  The teachers are passionate and  encouraging, the staff remember who you are and make you feel so very welcome plus, there's a really good balance of classes available for all abilities and the offers are hard to beat.  The place is super clean,  has all the props and is located well in town.  I have a particular draw towards the class with a backdrop of chill-out music....a perfect sanctuary.

I like this place so much! Started doing yoga almost one year ago and I just love it! I was so nervous at the beginning but Akram Hot Yoga was the best place to start. Teachers very nice and supporting, offering options for everybody. Different classes to choose from, sure you will find something to suit you. I love that is hot so you can relax and get into poses easy. If at my first class I told to myself that I will never be able to do headstand here I am one year since and I`m doing it! Very happy with Akram. Highly recommended!
