Today me and my mum visited the lowestoft store. We were looking at buying branded carpets for two rooms in her house totalling at around £1100, and a mattress costing £699. Mum was keen to get them ordered and delivered as soon as possible! Unfortunately due to the extremely bad attitude from the older guy serving us we decided to walk out and buy the same carpet in a different store! Had we been served by someone who wasn’t so rude and arrogant we would have left very happy customers! Such a shame that the store is being let down by ONE member of staff!

Visited the store on a Sunday at around 12.30. I saw at least 5 salesmen, two were busy and three didn't even make eye contact with me. I was looking for a three piece suite. The man who eventually woke up and came over to me showed me round some very traditional looking 70s styled suites that really would have looked more at home in a catalogue from the 70s. The salesman then offered me a three piece suite on 'special' which he said was the last of its kind and we had to order it there and then to avoid disappointment if it went at the 'special price. It was an end of the line product which was clearly shop soiled. It had clearly been in the showroom for sometime. He was not prepared to reduce the items anymore from their already expensive price tag and then informed me that I needed to pay £55 for delivery in Lowestoft!! I told him it would have been cheaper to have hired a van and delivered it myself. I could not believe that he would not negotiate the delivery charge. I told him he had lost a sale over it and promptly left the store. Lazy, unhelpful staff with attitudinal problems towards 'large' individuals wishing to purchase furniture. It was clear that the two salesmen closest to me there only had an eye for unaccompanied women considering measurements of small tables. Clearly my business did not matter to them! Avoid this store if you require friendly, informative service.

We were very pleased with the good service we received. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. They were not pushy at all, which is very refreshing. The furniture we bought was good value, particularly with the 10% discount. Would go back for other things in the future and would also recommend this store to other people

Popped in just to take a look as I had not been in the new store, always thought AHF was too expensive for me.. well Im wrong! very wrong! I was greeted as I walked round by staff and found a Bed that I liked at a fantastic price. Was served by a very nice lady who provided me all the info and options for my purchase, it was quick, easy and stress free :) great work .. so many shops you go in now it feels like your being stalked but I had just the right amount of attention in this store. Can't wait for my new bed to arrive :)

Having had previous good Customer Service we returned to purchase a New Sofa and 2 Arm Chairs. The Sofa was delivered first and the feet were the wrong colour - this alone took numerous phone calls at our cost and weeks to send us the correct colour feet. Eventually turning up on 24th December. Secondly the Arm Chairs arrived after three dates promised and no supply they did arrive. One had a bleach clouded mark in the stripy fabric. AHF were slow to react and again promised dates that never happened. The second chair arrived in worse condition than the last one more marks, poor stitching etc. The saga still goes on now I see no empathy from Mike the Store Manager unless he is pushed into an apology. He promises to call and does not update us as a Customer. A New Third Chair was promised this week but did not arrive and neither did a phone call to update us. When calling them on a Saturday our only day off we are told we should have called them during the week. We are not allowed to return the Chairs for a refund. AHF Customer Service are even slower to react and still the disaster runs on. We shall never purchase from AHF again!
